Why did Guan Yu cut the story of leaving Sim under the moon?

The theory of "Guan Yu's story of beheading Xin" originated from the Yuan Dynasty drama "The Story of Guan Dawang's beheading Xin on a moonlit night". According to the needs of the drama plot, the writers of Yuan Dynasty greatly exaggerated this story: after Cao Cao occupied the story of Dixin, Liu Bei was defeated and Guan Yu was captured by Cao Cao. Cao Cao admired Guan Yu very much. In order to make him work for himself, he bought him off and gave him a dancer of 10, including the story of Diusim.

Guan Yu was very happy when he got the story of diusim. However, the story of Dixin, intentionally or unintentionally, put in a good word for Cao Cao, with the intention of letting Guan Yu turn his back on Liu Bei and surrender to Cao Cao. Guan Yu was furious, chopped the story of Diusim at both ends in the moonlight and fled back to Liu Bei at night. There are three versions of the folk fiction "Death of Diexin":
