1. Finder has built-in compression, burning and other functions, but most people cannot use them
Finder's right-click menu is just as stinky and long as Windows', and the most common point between the two is that "it contains a bunch of functions you don't use much." As shown in the picture above, the right-click menu after clicking on a file in Finder (must select at least one file) looks like this. In addition to the functions mentioned previously, there are other functions such as "Create avatar", "Compress", "Burn (!)" and other functions, but since they exist, I think I still have to introduce them:
1. Making avatars: This also means making shortcuts, which is the same as "shortcuts" on Windows. Same meaning. However, Mac’s stand-in can be used to replace the system path of the entire folder, so it can be used to imitate a system default folder, allowing apps such as Mail to save data to places other than the resource library (it’s complicated, right? More on that later) Right~)
2. Compression: As the name suggests, it means that all the files you select can be made into Zip compressed files. However, the compressed files produced in this way often have problems that cannot be opened on Windows (file encoding), so unless you are sure you want to compress it for friends who also use Mac, you should use other compression software!
3. Burning: Like Windows, Mac has a built-in burning function for you directly in the file manager. But now, except for the MacBook Pro 13-inch, which has a CD drive, all Mac models do not have a CD drive...

2. Install various clouds The corresponding function right-click menu generated after the service
This function seems to be nonsense, but I found that many people really don’t know it! After you install Dropbox or other folder synchronization services (like I have Cloud Station for NAS), the related functions of the service will appear on the right-click menu of the file.
As shown in the picture above, in Dropbox you can right-click on the file and click "Copy Public Link" to share the direct download link with your friends! In the past, many people would specially open the web version of Dropbox to handle these functions, but in fact, there is no need at all! Just right-click on the file to process~

3. It’s not that Finder doesn’t cut and paste, but it’s called “Move”
Among the many arguments that "Mac is difficult to use", the lack of cutting and pasting has been one of the key points that has been mentioned repeatedly. But in fact, it’s not that Mac didn’t cut and paste it, it’s that he didn’t call it that name, it was called “Mobile”.
Generally, if we want to move files, we can only use mouse dragging to move the files from folder A to folder B, and because "Command X (Cut)" on Mac It doesn't work in Finder, so many people think that Finder doesn't have this feature.
So how to "move" files? In fact, it is very simple. After selecting the file to be moved, press the shortcut key "Command C" just like copying, and then press the shortcut key "Command Option V" in the target folder to directly cut and paste the file. Move over like that! So stop making jokes about how hard it is to use Mac without cutting and pasting, because he doesn’t call it cutting at all!
Note: Someone said a while ago that I think Win8 is not easy to use because I don’t know how to use it... In fact, the sourness of both camps is about the same~

4. Finder has a built-in "clipboard" that allows you to see what you have copied
The function of this clipboard is very simple, it is to display the last time you pressed "Command C" ” (or right-click to copy) the saved text or file name. But what is very strange is that the "Show Clipboard" option only appears in the Finder (at least I only see it here), so if you need to see what you copied last, you must show it from the Finder's Edit=gt; Call him out of the clipboard.
Above: In addition to the file name, the clipboard also displays the text you copied or cut.

5. File introduction, all file settings are here
Press the shortcut key "Command I" on any file You can call up the window above. In addition to displaying file-related information, this window is also responsible for changing the default opener and setting access permissions. The former is very simple "Do you want to use I changed it once I opened the app.
As for access permissions... This description is a bit complicated. Simply put, it allows you to determine which users can read, write, and modify the file or folder. Most people will not use this function, but if you are writing programs, managing web pages, or want to change some system-level things, then you do not need to use the Unix change permission command (such as chmod). Just use the graphical interface to process it here! It can also be applied directly to all files in the folder, which is particularly convenient for website management applications.

6. "Smart folder" that saves all search results
Smart folder and "tag" (please see this article )" is different. The latter gathers all files with the same tag, but smart folders gather all files with "same search results".
For example, if you open a smart folder and enter the search criteria "Mac" (you can also search by file size, type, and time) and click "Save", a A folder like the one below collects all the files that match your search criteria, just like the concept of "storing search results" in a web browser.
The opened smart folder will appear in the Finder sidebar and the storage location you specified. The icon is a purple folder. However, the concept of using a smart folder is the same as that of tags. It does not move the physical path of the file. It is just a virtual folder that gathers all the file shortcuts.
But to be honest... I still can't think of any use for this thing until now...

7. Change the icon! Folders, files, and apps can all be changed!
As long as you search for "Mac Icon" on the Internet, you can download icon files with the extension .icns as shown on the left side of the picture above. These files can be used to change your folders and files. , apps, and even hard drives (including memory cards and external flash drives).
The method of changing is very simple. Just double-click the icon file to open it in the preview program, press Command A to select all, and then press Command C to copy it. Then click on the target you want to change and use Command I to open "Introduction". Finally, use your mouse to click on the small icon in the upper left corner of the introduction and press Command V to paste it to change the icon.
The actual operation steps are as shown in the picture above. It looks complicated, but the actual operation is very simple. Please try it yourself!
