After reading "Space Boy"

This is actually a book on my child’s summer reading list. He liked it very much and recommended it to me. I originally thought it was a book for children, so I didn't care. Unexpectedly, I felt chilled from the inside out after reading it.

Leo, Libra, and Orion are three children born on the "Moon 2" space station. Space is their home. They spend a long time here, and before their 16th birthday, they are sent back to the so-called "homeland" of Earth. However, it was discovered after arriving on Earth that their bone density and respiratory system were no longer suitable for this homeland. Various infections and fractures forced them to stay in high places isolated from the world. What makes Leo even more desperate is that the family love he has been looking forward to for so long turned out to be an experiment. His own birth was so cold and inhumane. The warmth, sunshine, border collie dog Comet, grandfather's hug, and mother's limited concern that he could experience in a short period of time suddenly turned into a joke, and the earth he had cared about for so long, It was no longer the home he imagined. He didn't hesitate, and with the help of his grandfather, he returned to space and accepted his fate.

? An inconspicuous scene in the novel is when the child arrives at the space station where he was born and grew up. Grandpa is leaving because he has cattle, sheep, dogs, and farms that he cares about... However, for this he had to leave his grandson. Leo accepted it with a mature smile, just as he accepted his fate of being born as a test subject. However, he still relied on his own strength to save a space companion he had never met before, as well as his grandfather and his former astronaut companions who helped him come. Although he didn't get much warmth from this world, he still repaid the world with the greatest warmth.

When I look up into space, I will have more awe in the future.
