What is the best Indian family movie in your opinion? Why?

I haven’t watched many Indian movies. If I were to recommend a classic Indian family movie, “Toilet Hero” would be my first recommendation.

Whatever is missing is what you care about. In India, the status of women is low. In recent years, many Indian movies have called for improving the status of women.

"Toilet Hero" is such a movie. Living in China, you may wonder why something as big as a toilet can be made into a movie.

The fact is that in rural India, many women have to go to the toilet in the wild, and they have to endure harassment from gangsters, but it has been like this for a long time, and there seems to be nothing wrong with it.

The heroine in "Toilet Hero" has good family conditions, a relatively open family atmosphere, and a strong female consciousness. After marrying the male protagonist, she unexpectedly discovered that she had to go outdoors to use the toilet. This is completely stupid. She was determined to fight against backward ideas and get divorced if she didn't build a toilet.

The male protagonist’s father is very strong and does everything at home. The male protagonist was very painful when he was caught between his father and his wife, but under the influence of his wife, he finally chose to stand on her side and fight against all the forces that hindered the construction of toilets.

Corrupt and neglectful bureaucrats, dignified fathers, ignorant villagers, every force is a difficult nut to crack.

But with the efforts of the couple, the women around them began to slowly realize the necessity of the struggle. The word spread from ten to ten, and building toilets became mainstream.

The film is not as classic as "Dangal" and "Three Idiots", it can only be said to be quite satisfactory. But the reason why I recommend it is because the film's depiction of family relationships is so detailed.

The heroine’s family represents a new force. From her grandfather to her father and mother, they are very democratic and have avant-garde ideas.

The male protagonist’s family represents the old forces, and the stubborn father is the representative of the most typical father in India.

The combination of these two families is bound to have a fierce collision. With collision, there will be revolution and progress.

Old family relationships are broken and new things are accepted. This is the original law of the development of things and is unstoppable.
