The meaning of five senses competing for merit
"Five Senses Strive for Merit" is a five-person cross talk created by Ma Ji and performed with Liu Wei, Feng Gong, Zhao Yan and Wang Jinbao on the evening of January 28, 1987 (the 29th of the twelfth lunar month) It was broadcast on the "1987 CCTV Spring Festival Gala".
The cross talk adopts the form of anthropomorphic expression, using a dream of the author Ma Ji as the cause of the incident. Four actors are used to pretend to be the author's mouth, eyes, ears, and nose, and through them they interact with the author's Arguments and their four-way mutual quarrels serve as the background to create baggage and then generate laughter.
