What jokes have you made with your lover because of cultural differences?

As a family of a southern girl and a northeastern man, we all made a lot of jokes in the early days of communication, mainly in daily eating and drinking, which made us unable to understand each other.

For example, in the first year of Chinese New Year in Northeast China, I will never forget the overwhelming jiaozi, which is almost my nightmare. In the south, there are many dishes on New Year's Eve, at least a dozen, plus various fruits and snacks. It's fun to sit around and eat and drink.

However, on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day in Northeast China, we only eat jiaozi. Jiaozi is delicious, but I can't stand eating it every day. I feel left out and lose my temper with my friends. Later, I found out that the next-door neighbor was the same. This is a local custom, and I am relieved.

There is also a bathhouse, which makes people feel like streaking in the northeast. Although there are bathhouses in the south, I feel that everyone is still gentle and has independent space, which is mainly used for relaxing in hot springs.

However, the big bathhouse in the northeast is too scary, just like the vegetable market at seven o'clock in the morning, full of people. Everyone is doing their own thing, and some people are naked and talking loudly in a pile. This is so frustrating that every time I go to the bathhouse, I always come and go in a hurry, wishing I were transparent.

There is also going to the vegetable market to buy food. Southerners like to pick and choose and buy less. A cucumber or a tomato will do, but the stall owner in the north doesn't care about you at all. Seeing someone else buy a whole bag, I feel that I have shown someone a big joke.

Fortunately, we have all overcome the influence of these north-south differences, and now we all live in the south. There is nothing unaccustomed to going to the north once in a while. Wherever we go, we are our home.
