Remus lupin was shot because Voldemort put an evil spell on Dada, or because of Snape?

I think Lubang may not come back next year because of Voldemort's curse. Maybe it's part of the curse, just as Snape told everyone that Lubang was a werewolf. I mean, the other two professors were expelled from Hogwarts for an accident: Quirrell died and Lockhart lost his memory! In both cases, their death or inability to teach is accidental, and no one is at fault except the teacher himself, because Quirrell is a follower of Voldemort, and Lockhart is a conceited fool who likes to be famous.
