It can be seen that "all beings can't bear to be violent and evil" is the most severe test for practitioners. If you can pass this level, your realm and happiness will be greatly improved. Therefore, people who study Buddhism should always think of "Zhengbodhi". Why put up with it? We can't bear the supreme bodhi. The difficulties we encounter at this stage are really unbearable. A Malaysian initiate sent me two messages. I don't know who sent it or who wrote it. I was very happy and comforted when I saw them. The first one in this book, which says "I am an old man" at the end, has no name. I wrote a few words. Good. I watched it in this place and shared it with my classmates.

There are too many setbacks on the road of life, especially Bodhi Road, and the scriptures are all right. Why are all beings violent? We know the reason. The Buddha put it very well in the "Infinite Life Sutra", "The ancestors were bad, and there was no virtue and no language". We can't blame him. We can see that in today's society, the whole world has lost its ethics, sages' teachings, religious beliefs, greed, ignorance, and alarmist habits, which have increased many times compared with the past, so social unrest is not without reason. It is not easy for us to learn Tao. These words are a great comfort to us, and we should always keep them in mind.

In the first sentence, he said, "It doesn't matter if your smile isn't reciprocated." . This is what we want to learn. We should learn from Maitreya. Look inside Buddhism. As soon as I entered the temple gate, the first thing I saw was Maitreya. Maitreya smiles at you, but you don't respond to him. Maitreya still laughs and should learn. We smile at people, and people respond that they ignore you, and even tell others: This person is crazy, how can he smile at me? Really met. It is better in a foreign country. Although foreigners are not like China people, they have this common courtesy. You say hello to him, and he will say hello to you if you don't know him. If you smile and nod at him, he will smile and nod. China people don't have this habit. You see, the first one taught us. It doesn't matter.

The second is "If you are respectful". If you are respectful to others, how will others treat you? It doesn't matter if you become rude. You should know that this is a normal phenomenon in modern society, and we still have to respect people. No matter how others treat me, we still have to do it. Why? We should learn bodhi. We should learn from the ten wishes of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, namely, "respecting Buddha" and "praising Buddha". The next sentence says, "if you help others but are not accepted, it doesn't matter;" It doesn't matter if your trust is betrayed. " I can bear it. I can bear it, but I still have to do it. We trust others, and it is his business that others don't trust us. That's none of my business. We also think this is normal. Why? We have different education. We are educated by sages, and we are educated by buddhas and bodhisattvas. The decision of ten good deeds should be implemented, and these words can be summarized as ten good deeds.

The next sentence says, "It doesn't matter if others don't want to repay your kindness." Our kindness will not be reciprocated. If you can really do it, you will walk on the road of virtue. How did this virtue come from? Bear the burden of humiliation and achieve great things. In the Diamond Sutra, the Buddha said well, "All methods can be tolerated." If you can't bear it, you can't achieve it. If you can bear it, it will come true. Next, he said "your complaints, disappointments and injuries". What does this mean? If you can't stand it. You can't stand it. See you smile at others, respect others, help others, trust others, and others betray you. Do you have any complaints about what you have done, following the teachings of sages and the precepts of buddhas and bodhisattvas? Have you ever had doubts, disappointments and sadness about the holy religion and buddhas and bodhisattvas? This happens all the time. That's so reassuring.

All this stems from your own selfishness. What is the reason? In other words, if you don't let go of me and what I have, you will complain, be disappointed and lose heart. This shows that the fault is not in the other party, not in the outside world, nor in yourself, and I can't stand it. I can't stand it, I don't see through it, I don't put it down. I really saw through it and put it down. How can I stand it? So what should it be? "If you don't want anything, just keep walking on this avenue, and this avenue will become the Tao." You see, Xiu De is a man who can tolerate morality. He doesn't complain. He continued to smile at others, respect others, help others and trust others. You must know that you are a moral person. This was handed down to me by an old man. Finally, he said, "I am an old man". I received such a message.

Another message was written by a foreigner, with roughly the same meaning, and was translated by a fellow practitioner. He wrote ten articles, and I added a title to it. I added the title, "Ten things you should know in adversity." I was also frustrated when I left Singapore before, but that setback also met with a happy event, that is, the Australian Immigration Minister welcomed me to Australia and gave me the most favorable visa. I am the top talent in Australia. I was seventy-five or six years old at that time, so it was very rare. After leaving Singapore, I wrote a couplet to encourage our classmates. There are more than 20 people going with me. I wrote, "When facing adversity, follow bad luck, there will be no obstacles and karma will be eliminated." The bottom line is "in prosperity, there are good deeds, no greed and no delusion, full of happiness and wisdom." I write these words to encourage all of us. The spirit of this foreign gentleman is the same as ours, so I will read it here. I read a Chinese translation.

He said that "people may be illogical, unreasonable and self-centered". It's just that prejudice is deep, he's unreasonable, he's self-righteous. What should you do in this situation? "Love them anyway." Love these people. This "love them" is what Buddhism says about compassion for all beings. All beings are inherently good and self-conscious. He lost himself and got into serious habits. These habits are all bad habits, so we should forgive him, sympathize with him, pity him or love him when we get along.

The second article says, "If you do good deeds, people will accuse you of selfishness and ulterior motives." . This is very common in today's society, and we meet too many in our life. You do good, do good, people say you have ulterior motives. How can there be such a good person in the world? They don't believe there are good people in the world. If you want to do good, you must have intention and purpose. Selflessness, sacrifice and self-sacrifice in Buddhism are often humiliated in this way. Do you still want to do it? He said, "Do good anyway", or do good. You always think that this is right, that it is right to love others, that it is right to respect others and that it is right to do good. However, in this place, we should understand that there are two words in Buddhism: "compassion is harmful and convenient to get dirty." We should be wise. We should observe the environment, that is, observe the environment and people. It is certainly good to be willing to accept it. If not, we just need kindness and a kind heart. Good deeds are not enough. But beyond that, we should know that the fate of this place is insufficient and immature, and other places are mature. Where the edge is mature, you will do good deeds, not necessarily in this place; This place is mature, and we will come back to do good deeds, which is good.

The third article below says "If you succeed, you will win disloyal friends and true enemies". Why? Whether it is a Buddhist or a Buddhist, there are people who are jealous of your success, which must be known. It has existed since ancient times, but it is not as serious and common as it is now. In his early years, he studied classic teaching and lecturing under Mr. Li. The teacher told me several times, and I was deeply impressed. He said: If you go out to give lectures in the future, it's nothing if you don't speak well and others laugh at you. If you really speak well and get the admiration of the audience, you will be cornered. At that time, I didn't understand why the lecture talked about the audience's admiration and there was no way out I didn't know I was really desperate until I met him in person. Taiwan Province Province is so big, no temple is for me, and all the monks know me. I can treat you to a meal in the temple, but you can't stay in the temple for a day. Really desperate.

I really don't care about people, things and money all my life, so this Dojo was built by director Han, and the public paid for it, but the name registered in the Dojo is her own. At that time, we didn't set up a consortium or a management committee. There is no such thing. I didn't expect her to die. It was her son who inherited the property after she left. We finally left Taiwan Province Province and went to Singapore. When we left, we also wrote a few words of encouragement to our classmates. My classmates and I went to Singapore with more than 20 people. They are all in Australia now. I encourage all of them to live in a grateful world forever. Director Han's protection for us for 30 years is fluid in the first 20 years and stable in the last 10 years.

The next one says, "The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow", but don't take it to heart, "Do good anyway". It is a saint to do good without seeking results. If you do good deeds, you hope for good results. This is the law of the world.

The next one said, "Honesty and frankness will make you more vulnerable". You are honest, others cheat you, you are honest, others behave in a tortuous way, and you will certainly suffer in this society, often. However, if you eat too much, you will learn to be smart. The more you learn, the more skillful and convenient it is. But what? "Be honest and frank anyway", or be dishonest and frank, and remain honest and frank all your life. Losing is karma, being cheated is karma, a good thing, not a bad thing. People are dishonest and honest with me. I must be honest with others. Why? Others are ordinary people, and I want to learn to be a saint. This is what the scripture says, others are for the good fortune of the world and satisfy their own greed and laziness, but today we are "for Bodhi", not for the fame and fortune of the world. For Bodhi, you can't get dishonest confession. Why? Does not correspond. Honesty is sincerity, and frankness is an attitude naturally revealed by sincerity.

The following sentence says, "Great men and creative thinking in the big picture are sometimes crushed by narrow-minded villains." This thing has never been ugly. You can look at history, and then calmly look at the present society after you have finished it, and you will know. This is a good thing you want to do. You want to do a successful thing, especially if you have a big pattern and creativity. Naturally, he will influence some villains. Why? Obstruct their interests, he tries his best to destroy and crush you. This is normal. Therefore, we have encountered many setbacks. You know, this is normal. Why? Because you're blocking other people's interests. And the list goes on. Sometimes you are what this society calls respected. Many people love you, and some people are sad to see you. Although there is no conflict in profits, your reputation is too high for him to compare with you. We should also try to belittle you and let him breathe a sigh of relief. How do you feel about this situation? We don't want fame and fortune. If he wants me not to, then we don't care about his slander, insult and suppression. If there is no fate when it is serious, why bother others when going to other places? I have surpassed him in this place. Let's go quickly and leave him alone. That's good.

But things still have to be done. "In any case, we still have to look at the big picture." What are the big patterns? Today, people around the world are thinking about how to restore the stability and harmony of this society. Therefore, the China government put forward "how to realize a harmonious society and a harmonious world", which is a general pattern, not a region or a world. We found that this is not our real creativity. We have no creativity. We just followed the teachings of ancient sages. The Book of Rites says, "Building the country and the people, teaching comes first." Let's look at the history of China. For five thousand years, such a large nation, such a large population and such a large territory can live in harmony. People who study history have no respect for China. What is the reason? Teaching. So what are the cultural characteristics of China? Two words can be used to answer this question: education and the characteristics of China culture. What education? Family education.

I have said many times that education in China is really family education. Without family education, China's traditional culture has been uprooted, which is a terrible thing. In ancient times, school education was a private school, a continuation of family education, social education was an extension of family education, and sage education was a perfection of family education. Therefore, the characteristics of China's traditional culture cannot be separated from the family. This truth should be understood. We have discussed resolving conflicts and promoting social stability and peace at many international conferences. I will report on the thoughts, methods and effects of ancient sages and sages in China. This report has been recognized, but many people doubt whether it is an ideal, which can be done in the past and cannot be done now. So we set up a cultural and educational center in Tang Chi to do experiments. One year later, the results were outstanding and unexpected.

We have also said many times in the lecture, how can the world be peaceful? Everyone can do their own specialty well, achieve perfection, live in harmony with the public and cooperate with each other, so that society will be stable and the world will be peaceful. I am in this industry and don't want to be involved in other industries. That's right. For example, a person's body, eyes only look, don't listen, ears only listen, don't look, ears listen, want to see, this is wrong, there will be problems, everyone will do it in their own industry. Participating in these international activities is entrusted by Australian universities for the suffering people in the world. It is really time for us to go. Buddhism is based on compassion, and convenience is the door. But it makes sense that you should continue to do it for show, and I shouldn't.

We went to London and Cambridge last year and Oxford the year before last, deeply feeling that there is a lack of master professors in sinology in the world, namely Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. After reading it, it is a great inspiration to us, and it is also a reflection on the big pattern. How to help Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism train senior teachers and touch such an idea. Do it if you have the opportunity, and persuade others to do it if you don't have the opportunity. In short, follow the fate and don't compare. Accompanying is easy to achieve, climbing is worrying and there are many obstacles. There are many obstacles, especially personnel obstacles, but the great virtue said, "In any case, we should think big." Don't be afraid of obstacles, but think big. Why? This benefit is too great! Benefit all beings, not yourself. We don't have to do what is good for us. If others have obstacles to us, we can put them down and not do them. This is a matter that benefits all beings. This is really a question of connecting the past with the future and creating peace for the world. It can't be done. What if someone does it? If someone does it, we don't have to do it. If nobody does it, you must do it. What kind of suffering must be broken through, and how to break through? Bear the burden of humiliation, all methods can be done.

The following sentence says that "people sympathize with the weak, but only know how to cling to the strong", ignoring the rights and interests of the weak. This is a human habit. Although we sympathize with the weak, what is this weak? Poor people now, suffering people in this world. After all, there are few rich people and many poor people in this world, which is everywhere in this world. Although people have this heart, they will always make friends with powerful people. This is human nature. How many people really work for the suffering beings? It is not easy to work for the suffering people and engage in charity relief. Without power and wealth, the heart is kind. If power, status and property exist, people will be confused and upside down. You should always remind yourself that you can't lose your self and conscience for these fame and fortune, so you are wrong. Do you know what will happen in the afterlife? I don't know. Why not? I haven't read induction, and I haven't studied sage books.

Therefore, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, the root of Taoism, is "too much induction." If you have really studied it, you will think of the result when you are tempted, and you are achieving something. There are good karma, bad karma, and no karma. As long as it is karma, how can there be karma? Good results from good, evil results from evil, and karma is not happy at all. You must be able to put up with it. When you are strong, you should not bully others with your strength, no, the consequences are terrible; If you have no strength, don't fight. Why? If you have life, you will naturally have it. If you don't have it in your life, you won't fight, but you will make a serious crime. Therefore, people should stay calm in this world all their lives and think more about the suffering people.

So he said here that "we must fight for the rights and interests of a few vulnerable groups anyway." This is what foreigners say. In the words of our sages in China, we should always think about the suffering beings and help them relieve their suffering. In reality, relieving suffering depends on education. What kind of education? Vocational education. I once helped Muslims to set up vocational education in Singapore, including more than 20 courses, to help these suffering people learn a skill and make a living. For example, learning cooking, which he has. After learning, you can be a chef and get a chef's certificate. There are many restaurants in the tourism industry, where you can find a job. There are sewing classes and tailors who sew clothes. You can make clothes, you can serve in a clothing store, and you can open a small shop when the economy is good. There are all kinds of industries, with more than 20 kinds. I'm glad to meet them.

At home, I also encourage you to open training courses for this profession. The most important thing in vocational training courses is to teach them Disciples Rules, which is not available abroad. This is a virtue education, which cannot be lacking. It can be taught at the same time as these skills education and listed as the main course. The truth of karma should always be told by facts. No matter what industry you are engaged in, you must understand that the real meaning is to serve the public, you are enthusiastic about serving, and what the public returns to you is your return. Don't cheat customers, take it slowly, then you are wrong. Sincere and enthusiastic. The diet must be clean, not sloppy, and it is wrong not to make people sick.

Here is Article 8, "What you have built for years may be destroyed overnight, but keep building anyway". This thing is also common. In today's society, all kinds of buddhas, all kinds of buddhas. The Dojo we have worked so hard to build and build, the cause mentioned in Buddhism, may really be destroyed, natural disasters and man-made disasters. However, the establishment of this cause is beneficial to society and all beings. Although destroyed by natural and man-made disasters, we must have strong determination and perseverance. We will start all over again and rebuild. I have only been engaged in the teaching of lectures all my life, and I have not set up a Dojo. We have set up Dojo in Taiwan Province Province and Taiwan Province Province. Everyone has a fate, fate meets fate, fate meets fate, and fate leaves. This is a certain truth. I am very grateful to leave the Dojo without regrets. She helped us for so many years and was always kind to us, so we left without resentment or complaint. We all left with gratitude.

When we arrived in Singapore, we helped fellow initiates in Singapore to establish the Singapore Pure Sect Society. We tried our best to help them, and we have to leave when we die. The Dojo belongs to fellow initiates in Singapore, and we are not Singaporeans. Singapore's law is not that Singapore citizens cannot own land in Singapore, and outsiders can only buy apartments. Without land, this land is not sold to foreigners. We are not citizens of Singapore. Pure sectarian society owns land, so it must be managed by Singaporean citizens. We have to leave when our fate runs out, and we are willing to leave without complaint. After these two times, there is an American Dojo. When we left America, we gave up everything we couldn't take with us. We've all been there three times. The students are old, and they feel that wandering around is also very pitiful. When we go to Australia, we all know that there are few Australians, so land and houses are very cheap. We bought a church in Australia with little money and gave it to these literate students. They finally have a home, which belongs to themselves, not to others, and no one will drive him away again. This is your inner peace. Churches are really cheap. At that time, the money in Australia was 50 thousand to 70 thousand, about one to four, less than five, only about three million. I will give it to them, but I don't want it. I said you could save me a room. I want to go to Australia. I have a room to live in. This is so many years of experience.

Everyone in Hong Kong knows that the house I live in is Chen Laoju's, and the property right belongs to him, so I can borrow it. Someone asked me if I needed to build a Dojo. I don't want to build it. Sakyamuni Buddha has no Dojo. I said that my life is to live in other people's Dojo. There is only one thing. I hope the lecture will not be interrupted. I enjoy it. Everything else can be put down, and the rest is none of my business. So, although everyone in Tang Chi made great efforts to build the cultural center, we also donated it. Our own goal has been achieved, and our main purpose is to build trust in these United Nations friends who are engaged in peace work. China's traditional teaching is effective. For more than 30 years, the United Nations has been holding meetings. You can see that the frequency of conflicts in the world is increasing year by year, and disasters are also expanding year by year. After more than 30 years of meetings, the problem still can't be solved. You can do an experiment by running a class. We have been thinking for a long time, but we really can't think of a better way besides this method.

To do this work, we must first train teachers. What does the teacher train? Cultivate virtue. A friend came to see me recently. They really want to do some charity, and they want to build hospitals, schools, welfare undertakings for the elderly, orphanages, and many others, including religion. Tell me by building Dojo. I admire all of them, but I tell them that the success of any career is man-made. Buddhism says that "man can preach, but it is not Tao." Nothing is not good for a virtuous person to do; Without virtue, selfishness and greed for fame and fortune, this thing can't be done well, and then it will be guilty. Therefore, when training cadres, we should put morality first. Where did you learn? At least these three roots should be firmly tied, from disciples, induction and ten good deeds. Whatever the reason, decision is the best example for society. Learn to be a teacher and behave yourself, that's all. Therefore, although what has been built has been destroyed, we must continue to do it.

The ninth one below, "People who really need help may attack you after they really get your help". Yes, I have met many people in my life. He doesn't know how to be grateful, and of course he doesn't know what gratitude means. He is not only ungrateful and ungrateful, but also tries to punish you. You can't blame him. You should feel sorry for him and pity him. Why is he like this? He has not received a good education. You must understand today's society, that is, the culture of this era. What are its characteristics? Trait is competition, and competition is struggle, so he is not a lover, but a beggar. He has never been kind in his heart, nor does he love his parents and elders. How can he love you? If you don't know how to thank your parents, how can he feel your gratitude? You have to understand this truth, it is too common in society now.

That's all he received. Where did he learn it? What I learned in TV and movies, and then look at the behavior of adults, who are not for their own interests, of course, will harm others for their own interests. Even if you help him and achieve him, you are still above him, and he can't stand it. He must crush you. Only when you are below him and he is above him can he forgive you. This is such a society now. Everything he created naturally pays off, and he is not afraid of the consequences before, so he doesn't believe in karma, and it's too late to regret it before the consequences come. We have studied some books of sages, and we know them clearly and clearly. We know these truths and the truth. Should we continue to help him? Continue to help him. He should help him when he is in trouble. Don't think that he will repay you in the future. Don't think that he will remember my benefits to him in the future. You don't think so. In Buddhism, the three wheels are empty, and what you do is true merit. He doesn't know how to repay a debt of gratitude. This is a very common thing, and you won't care. Why? When you are in Bushehr, you know you can't get anything in return.

But this is a good thing and a moral thing, so "be ready to help others anyway." There is always a heart to help him. He can get by, not bad, and he didn't encounter any big difficulties. When he encounters great difficulties, he must lend a helping hand to help him. Then he will be in trouble, and he will be embarrassed to ask you for help, you know. Why? You helped him once. He attacked you and tried to cure you. Now he is in trouble. How dare he ask you for help? So don't wait for him to beg, take the initiative to help him when he is in trouble. This is also a measure of all beings. Tell him to think for himself. In his lifetime, he will think about the so-called "people are dying, and words are still in his ears." When he dies of old age, he will feel that that person is a good man in his life and has done a lot of things that are sorry for him. At this time, his conscience was discovered.

Therefore, to learn from saints and practice bodhisattva, we should think of awakening others everywhere. It's not that easy to achieve. It doesn't take him a few words to realize and turn around. After helping him several times, he can turn around. It's not that easy. Some people really do. You have cared for him, respected him, loved him and helped him all your life. He will pull your leg back and try to crush you until he dies. There are many such people, and we should treat them with a normal heart after meeting them. If you have the ability to help others, no matter the country, nationality or religion, you can't go anywhere without help. Everyone needs love and help. We should not only help people, animals and animals, trees and flowers, but also places where ghosts and gods can help. Cultivate a helpful person, yes. This is the real Buddhist.

Finally, the last sentence, "You gave the best to the world, but your teeth may be kicked off." This is the most serious topic. If you give the best things to others, they may still hurt you and resent you. Why? He feels that what you have given him is not enough, not good enough, not enough, and he is not satisfied, so he hates you and wants to spoil you. What will you do at this time? Anyway, give the world your best. We should have confidence and perseverance. He doesn't know good or bad, we know. For example, in today's world, religious education is obviously the best thing in the world. Nobody knows. If you give it to him, he really doesn't want it. He said it was superstition. I'm not surprised to hear that. Why? When I was young, I thought Buddhism was superstitious. I met Mr. Fang Dongmei at the age of 26 and learned philosophy from him. He told me an introduction to philosophy, and the last unit was about Buddhist philosophy. I didn't know what Buddhism was until I discovered it. If I don't meet Mr. Fang in my life, I will never be religious. How do I know this is the best?

Teacher Fang told me that Sakyamuni Buddha is a great philosopher, Sakyamuni Buddha is a saint and Buddhist scriptures are the highest peak of human philosophy. He told me this. I will tell others later that I don't talk like this. I said that Buddhist scriptures are higher philosophy, and my tone was much more relaxed than his. Learning Buddhism is the highest enjoyment of life. I didn't like religion until I was taught by his old man's house and corrected this misconception. Starting from Buddhism and looking at the classics of other religions, they all have a good impression and affirm that religious education is the best in the world. Western society has been maintained by religion for thousands of years, and science has progressed. After scientific invention and progress, people don't believe in religion. They think that religion is superstitious, unscientific and anti-scientific, so they will be excluded.

Look at ten, there is not one that is not insulting paramita. These two great virtues sent me these two messages. We just talked about this paragraph today, "All beings are cruel and unbearable." They all advised us to be patient, just as the Buddha said in the Diamond Sutra that "all Buddhism can be achieved through patience", which was "unmoved by Bodhi".
