Please review the movie "Myth". Please, all the gods

Myth, Cheers to the Past "Myth" was completed by Jackie Chan and Tang Jili. Like "New Police Story", Jackie Chan's rejection of the previous humorous vaudeville routines is the core. Jackie Chan challenged the emotional drama because he really wanted to make a good and deep movie. As he gets older, he naturally needs to be more mature and toast to the past. Is it the myth of Jackie Chan, or the myth of Jackie Chan? This is the starting point of discussing this movie. The question seems a little artificial, but it is mysterious and natural just like birth, old age, illness and death in spring, summer, autumn and winter. The focus of watching "Myth" should be on the ancient time and space of the film, but what is somewhat funny is that what makes the film outstanding is actually the modern time and space. The problem lies in the level of director Tang Jili. If it were replaced by Chen Musheng or Chen Desen, Jackie Chan's literary and artistic tone would be more decent, because "New Police Story" and "The Secret Agent" are at least the most literary works among Jackie Chan's movies. The blockbuster film co-produced by Tang Jili and Jackie Chan is completely a clone of a Hollywood action movie, and the story has no purpose from beginning to end. That's why when he promoted "The Myth", he would exaggerate love and beauties, and keep in mind the box office in the international market, instead of the word-of-mouth that Jackie Chan has always been looking forward to: Jackie Chan can make a decent literary film! The film's confusion is due to parallel narratives that resemble a play within a play. The story of "The Myth" can really capture the audience's nerves and expectations. I think it is precisely the "shattering discovery" about the decipherment of the First Emperor's Mausoleum, but this is something Tang Jili's movie cannot afford, so the film ends in a hurry. The most representative parallel narrative among recent Hong Kong films is "Infernal Affairs 3", which is expressive in the depiction of both time and space. In "The Myth", Jackie Chan had a serious face in ancient time and space, and could only talk about big principles, which is somewhat regrettable. Although Jackie Chan focused on "catching the sparks of love" with Kim Hee Sun, it was his life and death pride as a general that could easily move the audience. In the scenes where he and Kim Hee Sun are constantly looking at each other, all the audience sees is the elder brother's dull old face. There are not many exciting fights in "Myth", and the so-called epic style is lackluster. If you let everyone see that the black-coloured horse named Hei Feng possesses unique skills, then unfortunately, this horse has already stolen the limelight. In modern time and space, the ending with entering Lishan Mountain is the most shining scene. "Myth" is our great Mausoleum of the First Emperor and the mystery of immortality passed down from ancient times. This is a huge space for imagination. If there were no imperial mausoleums in the sky, it would definitely make foreigners who make treasure hunting movies like "National Treasure" laugh out loud, and the movie should be renamed "Joke". Jackie Chan did not create the ideal "Myth" because this story was much more difficult than "New Police Story". But Jackie Chan has a clear direction and is always worth looking forward to. Even if he gets older and older, he will still work hard to realize an immortal legend. This is the "myth" itself.
