Behind the Scenes of Charlie's Angels

Calls for a remake of "Charlie's Angels" have been ringing since the end of 2009. Playwright Josh Friedman was invited to write a flying manuscript, but it was eventually canceled and ABC eventually invited "Smallville" screenwriters Alfred Gough and Miles Miller are back writing. Alfred stated in an interview that he wanted his work to avoid being artificial and retro. These characters should all be alive. They like to play, like beautiful clothes, like to deal with various crimes and punish evildoers... We want to surprise old audiences and let a new generation of audiences understand Charlie's Angels.

Robert Wagner was originally going to voice "Charlie", but had to give it up due to schedule conflicts. After careful screening, Victor Garber won the role.

Ramon Rodriguez plays Bosley, the contact between Charlie and the three protagonists, a handsome young man with a model-like appearance who likes to tell cold jokes.

The show is supervised by a pair of producers from "Smallville", and "Charlie's Angels" movie actor Drew Barrymore also serves as a producer.

The original plan to shoot 13 episodes fell through. After four episodes were aired, ABC announced that it would cancel the series on October 14, 2011 due to low ratings.
