"After retirement, my greatest pleasure is to create, with the purpose of contributing to society and returning art to the people." The master said with deep feelings: "History is created by the people, and art should be owned by the people, but high-grade works of art cannot be bought by ordinary people." Valuable primitive pottery can only be bought by rich collectors, often hidden, and ordinary people have no chance to see it. For example, the works I created in the enterprise before were often taken away by collectors just before they came out of the kiln to take pictures. Therefore, the best way for art to return to the people is to put the works in museums for the masses to enjoy at any time. Therefore, after I retired from Shiwan Fine Arts Ceramics Factory on 1993, I founded Taohuayuan Ceramics Workshop and decided to donate some of my pottery sculptures to the museum for long-term preservation and exhibition. Ten years of hard work has yielded fruitful results. Crops were born in Puning County, Guangdong Province, and they like painting since childhood. 1949 After graduating from normal school in autumn, he joined the revolution and engaged in military art activities and stage art work. 1953, in order to restore and develop the ceramic art in Shiwan, Crops was sent to Shiwan to worship the famous folk artist Liu Chuan as a teacher, shouldering the heavy responsibility of saving the national heritage, and began his ceramic art creation career. Under the guidance of famous ceramists, he fell in love with "Shiwan Doll", from the exquisite works of Pan Yushu, Liu Chuan, Chen, Pan Diekui and other ceramists to the rough and provocative works of unknown artists, which became the objects of his copying and pondering. These spirits from folk art entered his heart and were engraved in his mind, which stimulated his creative enthusiasm and soon revealed his artistic talent. 1954, his ceramic sculpture "Seven Fairys" was sent to Moscow to participate in the "World Youth Art Exhibition", which was well received by the international art world. 1960, he and Liu Chuan were invited to give lectures at Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts and boarded the platform of the highest institution of higher learning. "Walking Wan Li Road and Reading thousands of books" broadened his horizons, sublimated his art, and formed his own artistic characteristics such as extensive materials, profound meaning, elegance and vividness, and excellent ceramics and sculptures came out one after another. Among them, the work "Emperor Taizong" won the Excellent Works Award of the Sixth National Art Exhibition and was collected by China Art Museum; Du Fu, a poet sage, and his mother, a deserted official, participated in the national arts and crafts exhibition and were awarded as China art treasures, which were collected in China Arts and Crafts Treasures Museum.
