At that time, landlords in the upper reaches of Meijiang often transported a large amount of mined rice to Rongcheng. There was no road at that time, so we had to ship it by wood from Meijiang. When the boat loaded with rice arrived at Gu Zhuo (the name of a river bend) in Shizhai, the immortals sank the boat into the water, ground the rice into shells, and then washed the rice downstream at Ma Feng Beach in Jiang Xiu. Rice husk flows out of Zhu Ya Canyon, and white rice is hidden in Bai Weiling Temple in Nanshan. When the poor really have no rice to cook, rice comes out of the rice hole in the west stone wall of the rice temple. The "xianggong" in the temple has been feeding on those rice ever since. Strange to say, every time rice comes out, you can only cook porridge, but you can't cook. After cooking, one person has enough to eat, two people have enough to eat, and more people eat and swell. At first, the "xianggong" in the temple was very religious. Every morning when cooking porridge, he always burns incense first, then rings the bell to worship Buddha, and then eats porridge after finishing Buddha. Coincidentally, every time after ringing the bell, a rotten monk came to the temple on time. "xianggong" began to politely invite: "here is porridge, please eat it together." After ten and a half days, the smelly-footed monk still came to eat porridge on time. Xianggong's face froze and he stopped greeting him. The smelly-footed monk pretended not to see it, took a bowl of porridge and left without saying anything. After a long time, the incense monk was furious. First, I hate smelly feet and monks get something for nothing, and then I hate smelly feet and dirty feet. In order not to let him come again, he thought and thought, and thought of a good way to drive the wandering monk out. On this day, he ate porridge before ringing the bell. When the bell rang, the smelly-footed monk came. Seeing that there was no porridge in the clay pot, the smelly-footed monk understood everything. He looked at "xianggong", nodded, sighed, pointed to the rice temple and said:

It is porridge in the morning, but it is porridge in the morning.

Buddha goes to the west, Nanshan rice temple is empty.

With a wave of his hand, a crane flew from the clouds for a long time, and the monk rode away on Yunfei. The "xianggong" realized that the smelly-footed monk wanted him to become an immortal and regretted his ignorance. He knelt on the ground and kowtowed repeatedly, but it was too late, and the immortals in Guilin had already flown away. Since then, the rice temple stopped growing, and later generations swam out of the rice temple with a poem, sighing:

The south cave breaks the monument and smears the old seal, and the north hall gives birth to a new moss wasteland.

White clouds are misty, the wind is blowing, and it is suspected that the fairy is driving a crane back.
