The Origin of Grandpa Bi Fujian

The origin of Bi Fujian's "Grandpa" is the sketch "Not Bad Money", in which he was called Grandpa Bi by Zhao Benshan, and then he was called away.

"Not Bad Money" is one of the sketch programs of CCTV Spring Festival Evening in 2009. Performed by Zhao Benshan, Bi Fujian, Little Shenyang and Mao Mao. It tells the story that Mao Mao wants to join the "Avenue of Stars". Zhao Benshan and Mao Mao invited Lao Bi, the host of "The Avenue of Stars", to have dinner at the "Scottish Mood" restaurant, but Zhao Benshan didn't bring enough money. Zhao Benshan gave a red envelope to Xiao Shenyang, a restaurant waiter, to make Xiao Shenyang a ghost and let Lao Bi order inexpensive dishes. Mao Mao performed singing and award-winning speech for Lao Bi, and Shenyang nearby also asked him for advice on his acting talent. In this way, Xiao Shenyang was inadvertently attracted by Lao Bi and wanted to take him to the Avenue of Stars.
