Why is Beiliu City not called Beiliu County?

Because it is a city, the whole of Guangxi at or above the county level, including county-level units, is directly under the jurisdiction of the district, and there is no such thing as district management. Now, who says Yulin is in charge? That's a joke. Yulin area still has regional administrative ownership, but it is not called a district, but a city.

Beiliu City, formerly known as "the main road of Guangdong and Guangxi" and "the state of ancient copper", was once "rich in armour" in history and was known as "Little Foshan" and "Jinbeiliu". Located in the southeast of Guangxi, it borders Gaozhou, Huazhou and Xinyi in Guangdong in the south.
