What visa is the American spouse?

L2 visa is a kind of family visa. Family members of L 1 visa holders (spouses and unmarried children under 2 1 year old) can obtain L2 status and follow them to the United States. After going through the relevant formalities, L2 can attend American public schools and enjoy local tuition. In 2002, the new law allowed the spouse of L 1 to work legally in the United States.

Necessary application materials for applying for an American L2 visa:

Valid passport: If your passport will expire or be damaged within six months of your expected arrival in the United States, or there is no blank visa issuance page on your passport, please apply for a new passport before coming for an interview.

A photo: a color front photo taken within 6 months, with a square white background of 5cm×5cm. Please stick the photo on the English application form DS- 156, and don't use staples. Please see the photo requirements for details.

Applicants must present two original application fee receipts when submitting visa applications. Only visa applicants who meet the guarantee requirements of A- 1, A-2, G- 1, G-2, G-3, G-4, C-3, NATO and the United States can be exempted from paying the application fee.
