In 2013, a relative of Li Zhengxue came over and wanted him to work in a branch of a certain bank. Apply for a card and help Liu, the vice president of a branch of a certain bank, complete the deposit task. Li Zhengxue was worried at first, but he couldn't stand the repeated persuasion of his relatives. On June 24, he applied for a card and deposited 1.4 million yuan. In the next two years, he also used the bank card to deposit money into it, totaling 13.8 million yuan.

In October 2015, Li Zhengxue heard rumors that Liu had committed a crime and fled. He went to the bank to check the balance of his bank card and found that there was only 73.89 yuan left in the bank card that had been given to Liu for safekeeping. Li Zhengxue believed that the bank should bear responsibility for its losses, so he sued the Liaoyuan Branch of the Agricultural Bank of China to the Liaoyuan Intermediate People's Court, demanding compensation for the losses.

After trial, the court held that Agricultural Bank of China did not keep bank cards for depositors and could not conclude that Liu’s keeping of bank cards for Li Zhengxue was the bank’s behavior, and rejected Li Zhengxue’s lawsuit.

During the trial of the case, the Liaoyuan Branch of the Agricultural Bank of China submitted a set of evidence to the court saying that Li Zhengxue’s bank card had many connections with Liu’s suspected fund-raising fraud case, and that the card was related to Liu’s fund-raising fraud terminal. There are multiple fund transactions on the card.

Liu was sentenced in July 2018 for committing fund-raising fraud, but the judgment in Liu’s case did not mention Li Zhengxue and his bank account.

Li Zhengxue retrieved information and found that since 2015, besides him, there were other people remitting money to their bank cards. By the time of the incident, the funds withdrawn from the bank cards had far exceeded 13.8 million yuan.

What is even more strange is that according to bank statements, most of Li Zhengxue’s money was withdrawn by mobile phone bank transfer, but he had not opened this business before. Based on the above reasons, Li Zhengxue sued the Liaoyuan Branch of the Agricultural Bank of China again with a new cause of action and case value, demanding compensation for losses.

On December 9, a judge of Liaoyuan Intermediate Court stated that the case is currently under review.
