In the nearly three hundred years of history of the Tang Dynasty, there were nearly twenty marriage princesses. However, among the nearly twenty princesses in marriage, almost none of them is a "real princess." In other words, almost no princess is the emperor's biological daughter. I think that those countries that made peace with the Tang Dynasty must know that they are "fake princesses". So, since everyone knows she is a "fake princess", why not do something about it.

I think there may be some considerations as follows.

1. The princess is actually not fake.

Some people may say that you just said she was a "fake princess" and now you say that the princess is not actually fake. Isn't this contradictory?

No contradiction. Because no matter whether the married woman is the emperor's biological daughter or not, the emperor must recognize her as his daughter during the marriage. "Adopted daughter" and "adopted daughter" are on the same level as daughters, and there is generally no difference in treatment.

Since this woman has been identified as the emperor’s daughter, who dares to say otherwise. Although foreign countries are powerful, they are still foreign countries.

The reason why they want to make peace with the Tang Dynasty is actually a kind of "rhetoric", or to achieve some goals. For what purpose?

First, they eased relations with the Tang Dynasty. After all, they are already relatives. Since they are relatives, the relationship between the two countries has eased, and there will be no more friction.

The second is that he has hostages in his hands. Once the princess is married, these countries will have hostages. With the hostages in their hands, the Tang Dynasty would use a rat weapon if they wanted to attack them. Some people may say, no, the princess is not fake. But regardless of whether it was true or false, since the Emperor of the Tang Dynasty had recognized that she was his daughter, others would laugh at him if he didn't care about her life or death at all.

Third, you can get rewards. The marriage also established a vassal-vassal relationship. Since it is a suzerain-vassal relationship, the vassal state can confidently ask for rewards from the suzerain state. This is the rule of sectarian-vassal relations in ancient China. In this case, it doesn't matter whether this woman is a real princess or a fake princess. Because the purpose of giving rewards has been achieved.
