Hello everyone! First of all, on behalf of all the members of the Summer Social Practice Team of the History Department, I would like to express my most sincere thanks to the department leaders, instructors and Taijiang District Committee for giving us such a rare opportunity to go into Shanghang and Xia Hang Cultural Ancient Street in Taijiang District and cooperate with Taijiang District Committee in the social investigation of protection and transformation. As contemporary college students, we have a burning passion and a simple desire to contribute to society. So here we are! In response to the call of the Party Committee and the Youth League Committee, we set foot on this strange but cordial land with the expectation of social practice in summer and the expectation of the ancient street of Shuanghang Culture in Taiwan. We deeply feel the rich historical and cultural heritage here. Please share our practical features.

First, leaders attach great importance to it and the Youth League Committee carefully plans it.

Leading teachers in our department always attach importance to professional practice, focus on professional characteristics, seek professional breakthroughs, actively carry out teaching reform, explore the road of running schools with characteristics and cultivating talents in practice, and explore a set of practical teaching system suitable for professional training objectives, focusing on cultivating students' autonomous learning ability, self-innovation spirit and practical ability. On July 4th, 2009, the Department of History and Taijiang District Government organized the launching ceremony of "Summer Social Investigation on the Protection and Renovation of Historical and Cultural Blocks in Shuanghang, Fuzhou" with the theme of "Entering Shuanghang, Love Fuzhou". In order to implement this measure, on August 29th, a 14 investigation team composed of more than 50 students of grade 07/kloc-0 in our department, led by the instructor, went deep into Shuanghang Ancient Culture Street. This investigation activity was highly valued and fully supported by the department leaders. The instructors of our department 14, such as the secretary of the General Party Branch and the head of the department, have personally participated in the whole process of guidance and help in this social practice. In addition, the Youth League Committee of our department constantly explores, actively creates conditions, devotes itself to planning and exploring the characteristics of summer social practice, puts forward a progressive social practice mode of "knowledge, sight and action", actively goes out, contacts with local governments, strives for a practice base, carries out activities that meet the actual needs of local governments, and serves the construction of Haixi with actions and professional skills, so that students can really exercise themselves in the melting pot of social practice. This summer social practice is a useful exploration and promotion of the progressive social practice mode of "knowledge, knowledge and probation" proposed by the Youth League Committee of our department.

Second, the process is full of hardships, and practice promotes growth.

Our investigation process is divided into five stages: (1) preparation stage, and more than 50 students from Grade 07/kloc-0 are divided into 14 groups, and each group consults the documents and materials about Taijiang Shuanghang under the guidance of teachers and draws up an investigation outline; (2) On July 5th, hand in hand with Taijiang District to hold the launching ceremony of the social investigation on the protection and transformation of Fuzhou Shuanghang historical and cultural block with the theme of "Entering Shuanghang, Love Fuzhou", and under the leadership of the community director, get familiar with the situation on the spot; (3) From August 29th to September 3rd, two groups of 14 entered the site for social investigation; (4) From September 3rd, each group will sort out the summary materials and write individual and group social investigation reports. (5) In June 5438+10, the general investigation report was written according to the social investigation report of each group; 10 On June 4th, our department held a report summary meeting of the 07 social survey webpage presentation group.

The activity lasted for more than two months, which can be said to be hard and long. We encountered many difficulties in the investigation. First of all, some of the original residents have moved away, and the new residents don't know the history here. Secondly, many residents can only speak Fuzhou dialect but not Mandarin, which has caused our language barrier and lost a lot of information. Third, some residents are unwilling to accept our survey. In addition, the inspection day is during the summer vacation, the sun is shining and the weather is very hot. It is the first time to do a field trip and I have insufficient experience. However, we are not intimidated by difficulties. Accompanied and guided by teachers, with the great assistance of Taijiang District Committee and CPPCC, each of our groups was assigned a classmate who knows Fuzhou dialect, and we worked together, or took photos, or interviewed or recorded. We devoted ourselves to intense interviews and investigations with great enthusiasm and sincerely communicated with every resident. It is because of the difficulties that our interview is more meaningful, and let us exercise ourselves more in the activities. Through this activity, we realized the importance of teamwork, learned how to communicate with people better, realized the combination of theory and practice, increased social experience, gained a comprehensive attempt of knowledge and personal ability, deepened our perception of society and further promoted personal growth. I personally experienced the present situation of Shuanghang historical and cultural block in Fuzhou, and also felt the people's urgent desire to improve the living environment, and learned some ideas about community transformation. At the same time, through contact with society, I realized our own shortcomings.

Third, the fruits bear witness to pay, and the media pay extensive attention to them.

Our summer social practice is finally settled. However, with the joint efforts of all of us, through practical investigation, we have gained rich scientific research achievements in the history of rise and fall, business culture, architecture, celebrities, guild halls, folk beliefs, education, overseas Chinese, relations with Taiwan, etc., which can be described as a full load. In addition, this social practice survey has also had a far-reaching impact, especially received extensive attention from various media. Among them, Fuzhou Daily, Fuzhou Evening News, Fujian CPPCC Tiandi Magazine and other media carried out publicity reports, and more than a dozen online media such as Xinhuanet, Sina.com, Netease, Fujian Business Travel Network and Fujian Window carried out reprint reports.

In addition, this summer, a visiting group of summer social practice activities organized by our department in 2008 also entered Min 'an Ancient Town on July 2, and began to explore the progressive practice mode.

Shuanghang historical and cultural block is one of the important birthplaces of Fujian merchants, and it is also an important tourist community resource to be developed in Fuzhou. There are rich commercial culture accumulation, unique chambers of commerce and a large number of commercial stacks here, which are known as "Fuzhou Traditional Commercial Museum". Protecting and transforming Shuanghang block in Taijiang and showing the charm of Fujian tourism culture is one of the contents of promoting Fujian culture and serving the construction of Haixi. As contemporary college students, we have the responsibility to contribute to the construction of Haixi. Therefore, we should strengthen the study of professional knowledge, constantly explore the historical and cultural heritage of Shuanghang monuments, and rely on this to enrich Fujian culture and strengthen the construction of regional culture with Fujian characteristics. Although the practical activities have ended, the exploration of the history and culture of Shuanghang Ancient Street has never stopped. In the future study, there are more dusty stories waiting for us to trace back to the source ... We left gently, taking away many historical clouds and spiritual shocks.
