Don't talk back to your face.

As a dutiful son, I always think that a wife should treat her mother-in-law like her own, which is actually impossible. Don't think from your mother's standpoint, and of course you can't let your wife talk back all the time.

The husband's task is to keep his mother out of the small family, to keep her out of his wife's affairs, and never to let her give any advice to her face. Let the wife have basic etiquette for her mother-in-law, and never talk back. The wife doesn't like what her mother-in-law says or what her mother-in-law does. Never say it in front of her, don't be sarcastic and keep silent.

Don't quarrel, just be polite and don't say what you think of each other.
