pedestrian crossing

Zebra crossing

On my way back from the hospital two days ago.

When I got off the elevator and walked on the road, I was still thinking about the old man who had just waited for the elevator. I thought that most people are used to being indifferent and will not give more kindness to people around them, let alone strangers. Some ideas in the elevator have made me a little "flattered" up to now.

It only takes more than ten minutes to walk from the hospital to the railway station. I didn't pay attention to things Suddenly, the person walking in front stopped. If I hadn't looked up just now, I would have hit his back.

The light is red.

Because this road is eight lanes, the sidewalk is longer. Suddenly his face turned red, and people who only walked to the middle of the road quickly stepped up their steps and trotted across the road. Cars on both sides of the zebra crossing are "honest" waiting to move.

Seeing that the person who was just in the middle of the road was about to run opposite, suddenly two people rushed out from behind my left. I didn't react until they ran a few meters:

Probably both of them are people catching a train. Look at the back, about fifty years old. One was wearing a washed purple shirt with a white snakeskin bag on his shoulder. I don't know what's inside, but it looks heavy.

The other one has a green towel around his neck, liberation shoes on his feet and a red translucent plastic bag in his left hand. I saw a box of Master Kong instant noodles and some food nearby.

At the same time, a young man in blue jeans rushed out of the exit ten meters away from the opposite zebra crossing and ran towards where I was standing along the hypotenuse of the right triangle.

I saw a green taxi only half a meter away from the opposite lane, and then stepped on the brakes. Although I can't see the expression on the driver's face, I think maybe he is as helpless as me.

When these three people do their best, the car in the driveway will start.

After about twenty seconds, there were no cars on both sides of the zebra crossing. At first glance, some cars are coming, but there is still some distance from the zebra crossing.

At this time, on my right, a young woman with brown curly hair, knee-length dress and high heels a few centimeters taller than me looked around, and then ran forward with a silver-gray suitcase in her left hand.

It's still a red light, be careful of the car! I was worried about her, but I didn't shout it out.

She wears high heels, so she can't run fast. She was about to run across the fence in the middle of the road. Suddenly, a harsh voice came, and a white car coming from the right stopped at the zebra crossing. The woman suddenly stopped in fear and stood in front of the car at a loss, looking shocked.

The driver put his hand out of the window and waved it to the right to signal the woman to go first. Seeing that the woman didn't respond, he stuck his head out again and shouted at the woman, probably some complaints.

The woman listened to the voice and walked forward with her suitcase. She stumbled, not to mention ran away. I think she can hardly step on her shoes. It looks like she is going to sprain her ankle.

This reminds me of a joke I heard before:

It is said that a man found a girlfriend abroad and once drove with his girlfriend at a red light. He saw no pedestrians in front of the car and ran a red light.

Then his girlfriend said, "How can you run a red light? No sense of rules! " So I broke up with him.

Later, the man returned to China to find his girlfriend, and once again took his girlfriend to wait for the red light. This time, there were no pedestrians in front of the car. His girlfriend asked him to drive, and he insisted on obeying the rules. As a result, the two had a big fight, and his girlfriend accused him of "not being flexible" and broke up with him.

Later, I sat on the train and thought about it. I had some ideas:

Maybe the person I just met is really in a hurry to catch the train? I have plenty of time.

Immediately deny: there should be no hurry to catch the train for thirty or forty seconds. Moreover, if you can't wait for the red light in your schedule, it can only mean that your plan has failed, and you have to miss the bus to remember it for a long time.

Blind conformity is really harmful. Even things like running a red light are based on other people's behavior to find a basis for their own violations. Is "Fa" really "not blaming the public"?

The standard of "morality" has really dropped, and now it may be called "morality" if you don't do evil.

In fact, there are two immoral people today:

One is for people who run red lights. One does not obey the rules; The second is to give a bad demonstration; Third, it adds worries and troubles to others; Fourth, ignore the value of life.

Second, pedestrians who did not run the red light but looked on coldly. Maybe they think, "it is moral for me to resist temptation and not follow the crowd." It is indeed an aspect of morality to keep yourself away from bad habits.

However, seeing other people's faults, but not reminding them, not helping others to recover, and letting people take greater risks, it is immoral to be alone for a long time.

If that woman is hurt, of course I will blame myself for what I didn't say.

The reason why morality is morality must be from the perspective of the whole society. Most people can play a more active role in maintaining morality than most people.

What I saw today was immoral behavior on a road and zebra crossing. The whole city, the whole country, I don't know how many people are "running red lights" and "watching coldly".

To really cure "social diseases", in addition to building "zebra crossings" and "signal lights", it is more important to cultivate everyone's true "moral heart"!
