Reflections on the Old Movie "Mysterious Giant Buddha"

I watched an old movie "Mysterious Buddha" on IPTV TV last night. This is a suspense, thriller and action film shot in the 1980s. The story is complete and progressive. At first, I couldn't tell the difference between poor and not poor in A City by the Sea. Finally, I was suddenly enlightened and relaxed. I feel very energetic after reading it. Unlike many movies now, it's just that the scene is grand and the story is empty, and I don't know what to say after reading it.

The film stars Liu Xiaoqing. Xiaoqing is dashing, capable of writing and fighting. She is a beautiful woman and a talented woman. She shows the wisdom, courage, kindness, simplicity and martial arts of a stonemason's daughter. She is committed to protecting the wealth of the Buddha.

This film tells the story of patriots, represented by Master Haineng, Meng Jie (played by Liu Xiaoqing) and overseas Chinese Situ Jun, who pledged their lives to protect the property of Leshan Giant Buddha raised by their parents on the eve of liberation in Leshan, Sichuan.

Situ Jun's father raised a large sum of money for the maintenance of Leshan Giant Buddha, but he was killed by the military spy Zheng. Brother Yao, a good friend who helped him save Buddha's wealth, was also killed by the bully Shatuo. On his deathbed, he told Master Haineng the secret of Buddha's wealth.

Many people want Buddhist wealth, including Zheng Han, a spy who infiltrated the police force, the local bully Sato (played by Ge Cunzhuang), and the young monk who is obsessed with money. They tried to get Master Haineng to tell the secret of Buddhism's wealth, but Master Haineng was fearless in a crisis and kept his mouth shut. Zheng Han, a ferocious spy disguised as a strange face, gouged out one eye. Master Haineng said in awe, "You can dig your eyes, and Buddha's wealth is rare."

Meng Jie, played by Liu Xiaoqing, is the tutor of the bully Shatuo family. She has been secretly protecting Stuart Jun and Master Haineng. At first everyone suspected that she was a suspicious person. Later, I learned that she was Xiaoyun, the daughter of the stonemason Yao's brother. She practiced magic whip kung fu, and her kung fu is high. She led her people to fight bravely and tenaciously with Zheng Han and Master Shatuo, and protected the wealth of the Buddha with her life. In the end, justice defeated evil, and the devil deserved to die. Master Haineng, Situ Jun and others discovered the wealth of the Buddha.

Ge Cunzhuang plays the villain Sha Tuo, who vividly plays the bully who wants to blow up Buddha and make money from it. It is very penetrating and disgusting.

While watching the movie, I also saw Leshan Giant Buddha, a huge stone carving of Maitreya Buddha, which took about 90 years after several generations. It is the largest cliff stone statue in China, which makes people experience the magnificent scene of "the mountain is the Buddha, and the Buddha is the mountain".

The film is ingenious and fascinating, with the theme of protecting the traditional culture and historical sites of the motherland, which can arouse people's attention to the existing tourist landscapes and pay attention to their maintenance, making our mountains greener, waters greener and scenery more beautiful.
