Why is being nice to others being laughed at?

I've had the same experience. With good intentions, others will take me for granted or treat me like a fool. I can't help it. In order to protect myself, I know I'm not a good person, but I still have to deal with it. I always remind myself to do what I should do and control my emotions. Some people have nothing to do with it, just delete it and stop contacting. People's hearts are complicated. I am good to you, you are good to me, and I will be good to you in the future. I am good to you and you are not good to me, so I can only be bad to you.
