To build a Europe where fighter planes can make a scene, can we really jointly develop aircraft carriers?

It is unlikely that the EU will jointly develop a new aircraft carrier.

There are three countries with aircraft carriers in Europe, namely Britain, France and Italy. One * * * adds up to three (active), 1 nuclear power, and two conventional power. Britain, which has two aircraft carriers, has also withdrawn from the EU. After Brexit, almost all projects in Britain did not take France and Germany, and the Sixth Generation Machine was also built by itself, which means that France and Germany cannot lead the integration of European defense and let Britain contribute. As a result, many joint research projects between France and Germany have been launched. For example, France and Germany jointly developed six generations of aircraft, including six generations of carrier aircraft. Judging from this trend, it is not entirely nonsense for France and Germany to jointly develop aircraft carriers.

But having said that, the actual operation is not that simple. For example, the joint development of the sixth generation aircraft by France and Germany is still in the stage of project demonstration, and there is not even a reliable wind tunnel model photo. France and Germany had two quarrels over the export of the Sixth Generation Aircraft. Germany's military strength is average, but its export control is quite strict. France, on the other hand, is relatively loose in this respect, and France believes that countries that Germany believes cannot export can export. In this way, the representatives of these two countries quarreled more than twice at the joint meeting of the sixth-generation aircraft export, and it has not been known yet, which has become an international joke.

Compared with fighter, the engineering of aircraft carrier is more complicated, the development cycle is longer and there are too many factors involved. Once one party withdraws from the development process, the whole project will have great unfinished business risks. For France, Germany's withdrawal has little impact. France can build an aircraft carrier independently, but for Germany, if France quits halfway, it will be in big trouble. Germany has not built an aircraft carrier independently. This is just a problem that may be encountered in the development process. If the aircraft carrier is completed and put into use, maintenance, operation and duty are more complicated. So far, there are no cases in which two countries operate an aircraft carrier for reference. The possibility of successful operation between France and Germany is infinitely close to zero.
