Two days ago, I took a bus to a place of work at night. The drive takes two hours. In the car, I suddenly remembered a scene when I was driving with my parents during summer vacation. It was around eight o'clock that night, and we didn't go back until dark. My dad was driving and my mom was sitting in the passenger seat. When it was almost 11 o'clock, my mom was so sleepy that she couldn't hold on any longer. She took the initiative to change seats with me. So my mother lay sleeping in the back seat of the car, I sat in the passenger seat, and my father continued to drive. During this time, I have been chatting with my dad intermittently, singing songs to him, telling him jokes, in order to prevent him from losing concentration while driving tired. At that time, I suddenly felt that my parents were getting older. In the past, my mother would never let me stay awake and go to bed by herself. I knew that she was really tired and her body would not allow her to stay up late. At the same time, I also feel as if I have grown up all of a sudden, and the burden on my body has become heavier. I am no longer the little child who would fall asleep in the arms of my parents in the car at night and not wake up when I was taken out of the car. I will have to take on more responsibilities in the future. Sitting next to my dad and burning the midnight oil with him, I feel quite happy. Although I am really sleepy, thinking that he is more tired than me, I will try my best to cheer up and accompany him.
