Where is Minxi?

Minxi refers to the western part of Longyan City and Sanming City in Fujian Province, including Shanghang, Yongding, Liancheng, Wuping, Changting, Liu Qing, Ninghua and Mingxi. Western Fujian is the central Soviet area and the main gathering place of Hakka people in Fujian Province. It is usually called Hakka Golden Triangle together with Gannan, Yuedong and Minxi. Western Fujian has a long history. Judging from the cultural remains found in the transitional period from Paleolithic to Neolithic, as early as 1 10,000 years ago, human beings lived and multiplied in western Fujian. In the third year of Taiyuan in the Western Jin Dynasty (282), Shiluo County was established. This is the earliest county in the history of western Fujian, which is under the jurisdiction of Jin 'an County. In the 24th year of Kaiyuan in Tang Dynasty (736), Tingzhou was established, which governed Changting, Shiluo and Ninghua counties. Since then, western Fujian has made great strides in the process of sinicization. In the sixth year of Chenghua in Ming Dynasty (1470), Liu Qing, Shaxian, Jiangle and Ninghua were placed under Guihua County (Park Plaza).
