Brief Introduction of Digang Village in Nanxun, Huzhou City

Digang Village in Nanxun, Huzhou City is a very low-key ancient village, which is too inconspicuous compared with Nanxun Town, but every visitor who has been here will be amazed at the profound cultural heritage here, where you can feel the baptism and vicissitudes of different latitudes. Here, I will share a detailed introduction with you.

Digang Village is located in Hefu Town, Nanxun District, Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, not far from the famous Nanxun Town in Huzhou. Digang village is surrounded by water, rivers and ports; Qingtang Washe, built by the river, is an ancient village with a history of thousands of years. This big river is now called "Hangzhou-Huxi-Wuxi Tourist Passage", which is precisely a tributary of the Grand Canal. Hangzhou in Nantong, Shanghai in the east and Huzhou, Wuxi and Suzhou in the north.

In the north of Waigangdai, there is a beautifully built covered bridge named Dong 'an Bridge, on which there is still an inscription from the reconstruction of Jiaqing Ugly Year (1805). This is the end of the outer lane and the dividing point between the inner lane and the outer lane. Cross Dongan Bridge and turn left, and you will find Ligang Corridor.

Digang Village is an ancient water town with a history of thousands of years on Hangjiahu Plain. Named after the reeds on both sides of the river port in history, it has been called "Tiaoxi Fishing Hidden" since ancient times.

The building of Digangwai Lane is adjacent to Guanhe River on the west line of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal built in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Zhailang Street along the river runs north and south, with a length of more than 500 meters and a depth of about 15 meters. It is not clear when it was built, but it was quite prosperous here in the Qing Dynasty and reached its peak in the Republic of China. There is a store attic outside the veranda, walking under the veranda, facing the canal in the east, forming a complex.

There was once a saying: "There is heaven in the world, Suzhou and Hangzhou in the world, and harbor in the middle". This seemingly neglected ancient village, with small bridges and flowing water, everything is the way it should be. There is no bustling hustle and bustle of the surrounding ancient towns, but more simple Yi Yi homesickness. The residents in the village look calm and content, and treat people kindly.

Qian Miao Bridge, because it looks like a figure of eight, used to be called the figure of eight bridge by local villagers. Located in the important port of the underground port waterway, the famous Longxi Port on the ancient canal is on the east side of the bridge, which is the only way for the southern end of the underground port to get in and out of flood and drought.

The pavilion across the street is a pavilion. Legend has it that a phoenix once flew over here and landed on a tree in Yanjiao Temple. Since ancient times, China has taken welcoming the phoenix as an auspicious omen, so the host of Yanjiao Temple asked people to build a stone dam in the place where the phoenix flew, which looked like a phoenix head, and built a pavilion on it, called Fengjing Pavilion.

It was rebuilt in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, and it was renamed as a pavilion to adapt to the temple atmosphere when it was rebuilt again in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, meaning "pointing out the maze". Lu Runxiang, a native of Digangli, the champion of Tongzhi, wrote a plaque, which became the entrance of Yanjiao Temple and the only way to Yanjiao Temple through the front bridge of the temple.

Yanjiao Temple in Digang Village has a history of 1000 years. It was built in the second year of Xiande in the Zhou Dynasty (AD 952) after the Tang Dynasty. Formerly known as Happy Garden, it was rebuilt in the first year of Stegosaurus in the Northern Song Dynasty. In the second year of Zhiping, it was renamed Yanjiao Temple. With the changes of thousands of years' history, the temple has been destroyed repeatedly, covering an area of more than 20 mu, with a grand scale and a long history. 1998.

There is also a gatehouse on the east side of the gate of Yanjiao Temple, the main entrance of which is "Taishan Qingfu".

Lixiang Belt was built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a total length of more than 600 meters. There are alleys such as Banknote Field Lane, Shen Jie Lane and Niunong Lane running through it. Houses built by water and old-fashioned shops have formed ancient and quaint streets and lanes in the south of the Yangtze River. Millennium promenade, mottled walls left traces of history. The words "Long live the people's commune" are written on the arched porch, and the vague slogan clearly shows its age and historical traces.

Centennial teahouses and barbershops bring their own tea 1 yuan, Anji white tea 5 yuan and smoked bean tea 5 yuan. The prices are approachable, simple and full of human feelings and deep homesickness. Old people can sit on the bench leisurely, put the birdcage on the long table, have a pot of tea, a pack of cigarettes and chat all afternoon.

The owner of the teahouse is Pan Pingfu, and another identity is a barber. In a corner of the teahouse, there is a "buddy" who works with him. The old barber shop table records people's life and history.

The surrounding ancient towns are not bustling, what is lacking is noise, and what is more is homesickness.

Compared with Nanxun, Digang Village does not sell tickets, signs, guides and tourists. This is heaven, and the villagers live a leisurely life.

There are many bridges and many piers. Only a few meters away. Walking down the stone steps, you can often see ships moored on the shore.

On the west side of Li Gengtang is Xiushui Bridge, which was built in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. This ancient bridge is well preserved.

The scenery around Xiushui Bridge is very good, with old houses, river ports, boats and ring bridges, but it is the most beautiful here in spring, with pink and green.

Looking back at Li Gangdai in the rain, it is quiet and quiet. The unique charm of the water town of Washe in Qingtang is always displayed here.
