How many years is the WorldSkills Competition held?

The WorldSkills Competition is held every two years.

The WorldSkills Competition is the highest level of world vocational skills competition and is known as the "World Skills Olympics". Shanghai, China, has won the right to host the 46th WorldSkills Competition in 2021. On the evening of August 26, 2019, the 46th World Championship Organizing Committee announced the mascot and theme slogan of the next World Championship.

WorldSkills sets international standards in 47 skill categories, covering artistic creation and fashion, construction and craft technology, information and communication technology, manufacturing and engineering technology, social and private services, and transportation and logistics, etc. The WorldSkills Competition is organized by WorldSkills and is known as the "Skills Olympics". It is an important platform for WorldSkills members to display and exchange professional skills.

WorldSkills Competition rules stipulate:

(1) Scope of application and basic principles;

(2) Organization (responsibility and duration of competition organizer) , types of skills, technical descriptions, test items);

(3) Relevant parties (contestants, contestants with disabilities, minimum number of contestants for each skill, chairman of the jury and judges) ;

(4) Competition (registration, evaluation, World Skills Competition trophies and medals, corporate relations, secretariat, responsibilities, quality management system, pilot projects);

(5) Disciplinary punishment procedures (principles, procedures, plaintiffs and defendants, process), etc.
