Chengdu Universiade Games time

The Chengdu Universiade will be held as follows:

Chengdu will host the 31st Summer Universiade from July 28, 2023 to August 8, 2023. ?The World University Games is a sports meeting that is limited to college students and college students who have graduated no more than two years ago.

The mascot of the Chengdu Universiade this time is Rongbao, which is based on a panda and holds a Universiade torch with a flaming "31" in its hand. "Chengdu makes dreams come true" is the slogan of this sports meeting.

Significance of hosting

The right to host the 31st World Universiade was awarded to Chengdu, becoming the first world comprehensive games that Chengdu successfully applied for after it proposed the goal of building a world-famous event city. More than 10,000 athletes, coaches, referees and officials from relevant international sports organizations from more than 170 countries and regions participated.

It will help Chengdu enhance the city’s visibility and reputation, attract more investment and tourism, create a sustainable development event city, refresh Chengdu’s new city image, and promote urban construction.
