Salt spray test standard This standard specifies neutral salt spray test, neutral salt spray test and neutral salt spray test.

Equipment, reagents and methods.

This standard is used to evaluate the salt spray corrosion resistance of metal coatings, and can also be used to compare the process quality of the same coating. Due to many factors affecting the corrosion of coatings, single salt spray resistance can not replace other media resistance. Therefore, the test results obtained in this standard cannot be used as the basis for testing the corrosion resistance of coatings in all use environments, nor can they be used as the basis for comparing the corrosion resistance of different coatings in use.

This standard does not specify the sample type, test cycle and interpretation of test results, which should be provided by the covering layer or product standard.

This standard is equivalent to the international standard "neutral salt spray test of metal coatings (NSS test)" ISO 3768- 1976.
