In order to inherit and carry forward the virtue of respecting and loving the elderly, Fengtai community planned and organized a series of volunteer service activities of "respecting and loving the elderly" on the eve of the Double Ninth Festival.

Carrying out voluntary service activities to respect and love the elderly in the community is a concentrated expression of vigorously promoting the traditional virtues of respecting, loving and helping the elderly, which is helpful to promote the implementation of the goal of "providing the elderly with a sense of security, medical care, worthiness, learning, happiness and education" and create a good social atmosphere of respecting and loving the elderly in the whole society.

This activity has achieved good results, which are summarized as follows:

First, community leaders attach great importance to it and organize it carefully.

After receiving the notice from the superior, the community immediately held a leadership meeting, and Liu Shuji, the Party branch, personally made the work arrangements. Liu Shuji emphasized that respecting and caring for the elderly is a fine tradition of China and an important manifestation of human beings' respect for themselves. Organizing this activity of "respecting and loving the elderly" can carry forward the traditional virtues of caring, respecting and caring for the elderly of the Chinese nation, enhance the awareness of respecting the elderly of the whole society, especially young people, and help promote the spiritual civilization construction of Fengtai community.

Second, widely publicize and create a strong atmosphere.

In order to create a strong social environment for the elderly to learn, enjoy, support and do something, the community widely publicizes the traditional Chinese virtues of respecting, helping and loving the elderly in various forms according to the actual situation, vigorously publicizes the advanced models of respecting and caring for the elderly in the community, and actively creates a strong atmosphere of respecting and loving the elderly. Through various channels, such as publicity windows, blackboard newspapers, slogans and leaflets, the community has extensively carried out publicity and education activities to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of party member and residents in the community to participate in activities of respecting and caring for the elderly.

On June 5438+00 and June 5438+04, Fengtai community widely publicized the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of the Elderly and the Regulations of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of the Elderly, so that the whole society could care for, respect and honor the elderly.

Third, centralized development and graded implementation.

Every year 10 is the traditional month of respecting and loving the elderly in Fengtai community. The community implements the "six ones" activities step by step, that is, to carry out a domestic service, organize women volunteers to help clean indoor sanitation and chat with the elderly; Carry out a holiday condolence, organize student volunteers to go to nursing homes and glorious homes, send holiday food to the elderly, and carry out party activities; Conduct free clinics, organize medical volunteers to go deep into grassroots communities, and provide health checkups, health consultations and treatment of common diseases for the elderly; Conduct a psychological consultation, organize psychologists to provide psychological consultation and counseling for the elderly, help them master effective psychological adjustment methods, and prevent the occurrence of psychological diseases; Carry out an outdoor fitness, organize young volunteers to accompany the elderly to enjoy the scenery, flowers and climb mountains for fitness; Carry out a recreational activity, organize employee volunteers to carry out various forms of festival folk activities and cultural and recreational activities relying on community literary and art groups to enliven the holiday life of the elderly.

The "Six Ones" activity is implemented step by step and spirals up, which makes the moral quality of community workers and teenagers accumulate and sublimate on a regular and progressive track.

Fourth, the activities are colorful and pragmatic.

(1) The community organizations of the elderly over 60 years old in the jurisdiction held the Double Ninth Festival meeting in the community home care activity room yesterday, taking respecting, loving and respecting the elderly as a typical example, advocating the wind of respecting the elderly and building a harmonious community. At the tea party, the old people talked about the brilliant achievements of the motherland in 6 1 year and the harmonious progress of society, which reflected the colorful life of the old people in their later years.

(2) The community organized young volunteers and community workers to do a volunteer service for the empty nesters and the destitute elderly, cut their hair for the empty nesters 7 times, cleaned them 19 times, and took blood pressure for more than 60 people.

(3)1June14th, the elderly over 60 years old in the community organization area visited the annual flower show in the labor park. The blooming flowers deeply attracted the old people. Many people took out their cameras and took pictures in front of beautiful flowers. Old people have said that this flower viewing activity organized by the community is very meaningful, which makes them deeply feel the care of the party and the government and the warmth of the community.

The activity of respecting and caring for the elderly held by Fengtai Community has further enhanced the awareness of the whole society to respect, love and help the elderly, created a good atmosphere of a harmonious society, enriched the cultural and recreational life of the majority of the elderly, and truly implemented "a sense of security, happiness and worthiness for the elderly".
