It is the core force for China to implement strategic deterrence, and it is mainly responsible for curbing the use of nuclear weapons by other countries against China, conducting nuclear counterattacks and precision strikes by conventional missiles. It is a strategic support for China's status as a great power and an important cornerstone for safeguarding national security.

Second, the China People's Liberation Army Strategic Support Force

is a new type of combat force to safeguard national security, which is mainly formed by functional integration of various strategic, basic and supportive support forces. Including headquarters intelligence, technical investigation, special operations, electronic countermeasures, network attack and defense, psychological warfare, logistics support, equipment support and other strategic campaign support forces.

on December 31st, 215, the inaugural meeting of the PLA Army Leadership, the PLA Rocket Force and the China People's Liberation Army Strategic Support Force was held in Beijing. Since then, the People's Liberation Army has formed five major services: land, sea, air, rocket and strategic support forces.
