Founded in 2033, the College of Arts and Sciences of Hubei Normal University is located at No.666, East Jinshan Avenue, Huangshi Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hubei Province, covering an area of 10 18 mu. The college is adjacent to Cisai Mountain in the east, ancient mining and metallurgy in the west, Daye Lake in the south and Huang Jinshan in the north.

There are five departments: humanities, management, science and technology, education and art, and Marxism. There are 32 undergraduate majors and 20 specialist majors.

The school has built a team of teachers with both ability and political integrity, distinctive features and reasonable structure. There are more than 630 teachers, including 275 teachers with associate senior titles and above, and 546 teachers with doctoral and master's degrees.
