Kings and local officials all know that Buddhism is used to educate all beings, and they can all follow the teachings. The influence of Buddhism has eliminated the disaster. We have seen many examples in history. Did it work? Historical facts can prove to us. Why is it effective? This truth is very deep. Buddhism's Mahayana classics are very clear, and Confucianism also talks with other religions, but not as clear as Buddhism, which is rich in classics.

The Buddha told us that all beings in the void dharma world were born for the same reason; This reason is what Buddhism calls mind, which is born of the same mind. Just like our human body, it is a body; There are many cells in this body. Now we know that cells are not the smallest. Cells are made up of atoms and electrons. Modern scientists tell us that atoms and electrons are not the smallest, and some are smaller than electrons. They are called quarks. All sentient beings in our world are like the smallest substance, not knowing that the whole body is themselves, but clinging to that small particle and thinking that it is themselves. When does he know that the whole body is himself, and then he knows that any particle can affect the whole body. Just like our body, if you needle any cell or any part for a period of time, your whole body will feel pain. We understand this truth.

Therefore, Buddhism teaches us that when a disaster occurs, we must reflect, transform and recover, so that we can resolve the disaster. So it has a deep truth. Buddha's education is really the perfect wisdom education in the world, and all the problems in the world can help us solve them. In our daily life, we will encounter some ominous disasters, such as floods, droughts, earthquakes and storms, which are really inspired by the poor behavior of our sentient beings. It is wrong to say that these natural disasters have nothing to do with our thinking and behavior. This concept is wrong.

People in the past, in China in the past two thousand years, in the era of emperors, it can be said that few emperors did not accept Buddhism, almost none. Buddhism spread from Han Dynasty to China, and we know that it spread to China in 67 AD, ten years after Emperor Yongping of Han Dynasty. After it was introduced to China, the intelligentsia in China now talks about intellectuals. In ancient times, it was the intelligentsia, but now it is the intellectuals. Believe it or not, there is no one who doesn't read Buddhist books, which has far-reaching influence. Young, soft-blooded, and prejudiced, I can't accept it. In my later years, many people accepted it. The most representative figure, Han Yu. Han Yu rejected Buddhism when he was young and converted to Buddhism in his later years. He studied Buddhism seriously and knew that his past views and thoughts were wrong. So once upon a time, a scholar had an advantage. He knows his mistakes and can repent, which is very rare. Some people are very stubborn now. Although they know they are wrong, they don't admit it and refuse to change. This result is very tragic. We can't help but understand these truths, and we can't help but carefully observe these facts in the past and present, and build confidence from this place.

Buddhism is a complete teaching, starting from daily life education until you thoroughly understand the truth of the void law, so we should understand that it is lucky to meet it. Many politicians have doubts about religion because they don't know enough. Why did every emperor in ancient China respect Buddhism after thousands of years of regime change? The reason is that he knows, he knows, Buddha, Bodhisattva, himself and all sentient beings. For the country, there are two articles in the Brahma Sutra. First, "don't be a national thief", which is forbidden by Buddhism. This is welcomed by the head of a country and is of great benefit to the country. Second, "don't slander the Lord." Even if national leaders are at fault, they can't slander them. Why? He is the center of national trust. If he slanders national leaders and arouses national suspicion, the country will be in danger. Therefore, you can persuade, not slander. We believe that this is welcomed by the national leaders of any country in the world.

There are also two in the wreath sutra. The first rule that Buddhism teaches us is: "Don't miss the national tax." How many people try their best to evade taxes now is not allowed by Buddhism. Buddhist disciples have no obligation to pay taxes, which is wrong and violates the precepts. Paying taxes is the duty of the people. The state relies on taxes and uses these revenues to build the country. The government treasury is empty, and many construction projects have no funds, so people will be unhappy. So what is tax payment? Paying taxes is to benefit the society and people, which is the primary obligation in charity. Article 2: "No violation of the state system". The national system is a national law and must be observed.

Think about these four commandments. If a political leader reads Buddhist scriptures and knows these four commandments, he will certainly welcome them. He will definitely take the initiative to promote Buddhist education. Many people ask: What is Buddhism? What is evil law? These four commandments are the criteria for defining evil and good. I don't know how to love my country, love my nation, lean towards foreign countries and bully my country. This is a traitor, this is not Buddhism. Slander state leaders, criticize state administration, alienate people's feelings and provoke ethnic disputes. This is not a disciple of the Buddha, and the Buddha has never taught it this way.

Tax evasion occurs all over the world, in China and abroad. Foreigners used to be honest. At that time, when I was studying with Mr. Fang Dongmei, it was more than forty years ago. He once told me that fifty years ago, then, fifty years ago, now forty years and ninety years ago, he said that Americans at that time were lovely and had a sense of justice. Now Americans have been assimilated by orientals, and they have also learned various ingenious tax evasion techniques from orientals. Cultural exchange, we learned their bad things, and they also learned our bad things. Don't learn well, but learn badly. I also learned about tax evasion and corruption. If you indulge in interests and selfishness, you will lose your morality. It is illegal to take advantage of legal loopholes. Buddhism teaches us not to be thieves of the country, not to slander the master of the country, not to miss the tax revenue of the country, and not to violate the national system. All these are the concerns of all sentient beings in Buddhism for the country. Do these four things, you are patriotic; These four things can't be done. Patriotism is false and untrue. Every word of the Buddha teaches us, with far-reaching and infinite significance.

The Great Collection also tells us that he said that if there is no Buddha in the world, it is also a hypothesis, but it is actually true. It has been 12,000 years since the birth of Sakyamuni Buddha, and there is no Buddha in the world. The fifth Buddha robbed by saints is Maitreya Bodhisattva. This time is very long. The classic of Maitreya tells us when he will come again. 56 billion years later. In other words, 56 billion years later, after the Buddhism of Sakyamuni was shipped out, there was no Buddha in this world for such a long time, and the Buddhism only appeared when Maitreya gave a lecture. Therefore, the Buddha often said in the scriptures: "The human body is rare, and Buddhism smells terrible." It is not easy! We were born in this 12,000 years, and you met Buddhism. When there was no Buddhism, the Buddha said, "Parents who do good deeds are Buddhists." Then we will know why Sakyamuni Buddha handed over the transformation of all beings to the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha after he destroyed Buddhism in this world. He doesn't make friends with Guanyin Bodhisattva, nor does he entrust Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, but only the Bodhisattva Diksitigarbha. What do you mean? Tibetan Bodhisattva represents filial piety and respect for teachers. When there is no Buddhism in the world, you know that filial piety is no different from serving the Buddha. This is a symbolic meaning and we all need to understand it.

The Buddha's teaching is the only thing that matters. The first sentence of "pure industry and three blessings" is "honor adoptive parents and serve teachers" Buddhists started here and came here successfully. After thousands of discussions and long-term practice, in the end, these two things are complete, and when they are completed, they will become buddhas. You have defined the principle of filial piety to teachers. When it is fully implemented in your life and where you treat others, you will be called Buddha. Thus, what has been said in 49 years? It is nothing more than the truth of filial piety and morality, and the implementation of filial piety and morality. This is what the Buddha said.

Speaking of the truth, the Buddha told us that all beings in the void law are our parents and teachers. This sentence is difficult for beginners to understand, and the deeper you go, the more reasonable you will find these two Buddhist words. When can you accept it for sure? Consciousness. Bodhisattva, who first lived in Mahayana circle, accepted it without any doubt, so she pursued it seriously. From his first residence to his equal sleep, this Bodhisattva ranked 4 1 class. What did he practice? It is nothing more than implementing this concept. People in the ten dharma circles can only say that they heard it from the Buddha, and they can't prove it even if they don't object. Why? I can't let go of my delusion and persistence. There are still differences and persistence, which can only be heard. "When I heard this sentence from the Buddha, I was not sure whether it was true or not." This is what we ordinary people do, because we respect Buddha and dare not refute it. Not a Buddhist, without this respect for Buddha, he criticizes it. The Buddha is telling the truth, which should be proved by wisdom and practice. Ok, today's time is up, so let's call it a day.

Don't violate the national system-if Buddhist learners can't abide by the national system well, let alone Buddhist precepts!
