I. Industry overview

Through a year's study of power plant professional knowledge, we have a preliminary theoretical understanding of power plants. In order to better know and understand professional knowledge and expand practical knowledge, we visited Leiyang Power Plant, Tian Yun Boiler Plant, Changhong Boiler Plant and Hengyang Transportation Machinery Plant successively. Through the practice, I have deepened my understanding of the power plant and related industries, and have a certain understanding of the equipment in the plant.

Under the careful arrangement of the school teacher, we first came to Leiyang Power Plant for an internship. In fact, as the masters of the power plant said, this short visit is only a visit, not an internship, but there is no need to regard it as a visit, which will be of great help to us. I have been dealing with textbooks since I was a child. This time, you can learn knowledge directly outside the textbook. Of course, you can't miss it, but you should also grasp it.

Although it is only a short visit, through the introduction of various power plants, it is known that in the half century after the founding of New China, China's power industry has achieved rapid development, with an average annual growth rate exceeding 10%. By the end of June 2005, the national installed capacity had exceeded 500 million kilowatts, ranking second in the world in terms of installed capacity and power generation, second only to the United States. Especially since the 1990s, the average annual installed capacity of China's electric power has exceeded 1.7 GW, which has basically alleviated the long-term serious power shortage and basically met the demand of national economic and social development for electric power. However, we still have some problems at present. First, the average annual utilization hours of power generation equipment in China are decreasing year by year. Secondly, China's per capita electricity consumption level lags far behind that of developed countries, about 1/20 in Canada, 1/4 in the United States and 1/8 in France. Up to now, tens of millions of people in China have no access to electricity, and in recent years, the supply and demand of electricity in China are very tight, and many areas have blackouts, which shows that the development of electricity is far from enough.

The first time I came to Leiyang Power Plant, I was from Datang Group. Before coming to the power plant, the master in the factory gave us a brief introduction to the basic history of the power plant and the safety education for entering the factory.

This understanding involves all aspects of the power plant, and of course it will not miss the salary of employees. Regarding salary, I don't care about face. I asked some questions, and several people didn't give positive answers, but judging from their expressions (I observed them), it should be good. This is also a fact. Contemporary China is on the rise and its economy is growing explosively. Electricity is the most fundamental basic guarantee. As a source of electricity, power plants must play the role of bosses. In short, the overall impression given by thermal power plants is that the working environment is not good, the working hours are not in line with the trend, the working place is not close to the city, the working salary is not bad, the contribution to the country is irreplaceable, and there is still great development!

Second, the production process of thermal power plants

During the whole internship, I feel that I have gained the most from Leiyang Power Plant. Although I don't quite understand some things, I have basically understood the production process of thermal power plants.

In fact, the production process of thermal power plant is a transformation process of four energy forms. First, the chemical energy of fossil fuel (coal) is converted into heat energy through combustion, which is completed in the combustion chamber of steam boiler or gas turbine; Then the heat energy is converted into mechanical energy, which is completed in a steam engine or a gas turbine; Finally, mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy by a generator.

The raw material of thermal power plant is raw coal. Raw coal is generally transported by train to the coal storage yard of power plant, and then transported to coal hopper or silo by coal conveyor belt. Raw coal falls from the coal hopper, and is sent to the coal mill by the coal feeder to grind coal powder, and at the same time, it is sent to the hot air to dry and transport coal powder. After the formed pulverized coal-air mixture is separated by the separator, the qualified pulverized coal is sent to the powder conveying pipe by the powder exhauster, and then sprayed into the boiler furnace for combustion by the burner. The hot air required for fuel combustion is sent to the air preheater of the boiler by the blower for heating. Part of the preheated hot air is sent to the coal mill for drying and powder feeding through the air duct, and the other part is directly led to the burner to enter the furnace. Under the action of induced draft fan, the high-temperature flue gas generated by combustion first flows through the furnace, water wall tube, superheater, economizer and air preheater in turn along the inverted U-shaped flue of the boiler, and at the same time, the heat energy of the flue gas is gradually transferred to the working medium and air, and the flue gas itself becomes low-temperature flue gas. The flue gas purified by the dust collector is extracted by the induced draft fan and discharged into the atmosphere through the chimney. If the power plant burns high-sulfur coal, the flue gas will be discharged into the atmosphere after being purified by the desulfurization device. Among the ash produced after coal combustion, the big ash will be separated from the airflow due to its own weight, settle in the cold ash hopper at the bottom of the furnace to form solid slag, and finally be discharged into the ash ditch by the slag discharge device, and then pumped to the ash yard by the ash. A large number of fine ash particles (fly ash) are taken away with the flue gas and sent to the ash ditch after being separated by the dust collector.

The boiler feed water first enters the economizer to be preheated to near saturation temperature, then is heated by the evaporator heating surface into saturated steam, and then is heated by the superheater into superheated steam, also called main steam. Through the above process, the transportation and combustion of fuel, the generation of steam and the treatment and discharge of combustible substances (ash and flue gas) have been completed. The main steam from the superheated steam of the boiler enters the turbine through the main steam pipeline to expand and do work, which drives the generator to generate electricity. The exhaust steam discharged from the turbine is discharged into the condenser, where it is condensed and cooled into water, which is called main condensate. The main condensate is sent to the low-pressure heater by the condensate pump, and some steam is pumped out by the steam turbine and enters the deaerator, where various gases (mainly oxygen) dissolved in the water are removed by continuous heating. Make-up water (soft water) and main condensate after treatment in chemical workshop are collected in deaerator water tank to become boiler feed water, which is boosted by feed water pump and sent to high-pressure heater. A certain amount of steam is extracted from the high-pressure part of the even-numbered steam turbine for heating, and then sent to the boiler to complete a thermodynamic cycle of the working medium.
