What is semantic segmentation?

Image semantic segmentation is an important branch of artificial intelligence computer vision, which combines image classification, object detection and image segmentation, and mainly classifies images at pixel level.

The result of semantic segmentation is to turn the image into a color block with certain semantic information. Semantic segmentation technology can identify the semantic category of each color block and label each pixel with its corresponding label, so as to realize the bottom-up semantic reasoning process and finally get a segmented image containing semantic labeling information of each pixel.
