Qi Baishi's main contents in the occupied areas are

1937 After the July 7th Incident broke out, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, China entered a new historical period. This "newness" is manifested in the following aspects: First, the second national cooperation was realized and a broad anti-Japanese national united front was formed. Second, the whole country is divided into three regions, namely, Kuomintang-ruled areas (referred to as Kuomintang-controlled areas), liberated areas led by the * * * Production Party (also known as anti-Japanese base areas behind enemy lines), and enemy-occupied areas occupied by Japanese imperialism and puppet Manchukuo. Under the direct leadership of the Chinese Production Party, literary and art workers in the liberated areas established the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region Cultural Salvation Association to publicize and create anti-Japanese salvation. Literary and art workers in Kuomintang-controlled areas also engaged in various anti-Japanese propaganda and creative activities under the banner of the party's anti-Japanese national United front. But the enemy-occupied areas are different, where wolves are rampant and the environment is sinister. However, some upright literary and art workers can still adhere to national integrity and fight against the enemy and puppet in their own unique way.
