Introduction:

Propylene glycol methyl ether is liquid, m.p.-97℃, b.p.118～119℃, n20D 1.4030, relative density 0.9220, f.p.33℃, insoluble in water, soluble in Organic solvents such as ether and chloroform.

Uses:

1.1-Methoxy-2-propanol is an intermediate of the herbicide metolachlor.

2. Used as solvent, dispersant or diluent in coating, ink, printing and dyeing, pesticide, cellulose, acrylate and other industries. It can also be used as fuel antifreeze, cleaning agent, extraction agent, non-ferrous metal mineral processing agent, etc. It can also be used as raw material for organic synthesis.

Production method:
