The canyon is V-shaped, about 5 kilometers long and has a height difference of more than 400 meters. On both sides of the canyon, the mountains are steep, the cliffs are towering, the valley bottom is 10-30 meters wide, and the slope in the valley is relatively large. The rushing water meanders through the canyon all the year round, giving you a panoramic view of shoals, deep pools, waterfalls and flying springs. There are more than 20 small waterfalls in the canyon, with a big drop of 76 meters, just like flying water in the sky and the milky way. Huangdidong Beihu Reservoir is the second largest drinking water source and the largest artificial lake in Fuzhou. Formerly known as Shanzai Reservoir, it is named Beihu Lake because it is located in Beifeng, and Sheshan Lake because it flows through Jiashe Village.
