However, few of these views are really based on Buddhist classics. Everyone thinks what is the cause and effect, which is inferred from their own cognition. This has caused many misunderstandings. Ordinary people's concept of cause and effect is mostly killing people to pay off debts. If you believe in the afterlife, you will think that this result will not appear until the next life. Most people think so, don't they? In fact, the cause and effect law in Buddhism are not like this. Strictly speaking, this is completely different. Let's try to show you how cause and effect work. What kind of law does everything in this world follow, and how to use this law to benefit yourself and others? (1) How does causality work? Karma acts like a seed, which grows gradually under the right conditions and finally produces fruit. Because it is a seed. What we have said, done and thought before will become seeds and causes. For example, I thought about it today, I want to make some money, or I want to go somewhere to play. This is all due to. Everything we say and do will become seeds. Seeds need suitable soil, sunlight and water to grow and bear fruit. With the cooperation of various conditions, the seeds gradually grow and finally bear fruit. This process is like the karma we create, gathering all kinds of help and finally getting the result. What is fate? It is also the content, language and meaning of our body, what we do, say and think. These are not only seeds, but also the edges and help of other seeds. For example, if a person wants to travel somewhere, that is an idea. It happens that he is rich, blessed, has time, weather and environment. These are all reasons, so he went. Unexpectedly, he owed others gambling debts before, and as a result, he met a creditor at the place where he played. Got a beating. So going to fight this thing, although it is the fruit of his original idea, but this fruit is formed by the accumulation of various conditions, and it has also become another help for his fate and result. This is how cause and effect work. Each cause develops under suitable conditions, and at the same time, it plays a role in the development of other causes, intertwining and influencing each other. Very complicated. It is so complicated that we ordinary people can't imagine it. If you have to use metaphor: everyone's cause and effect is like an endless forest, countless seeds, countless germination, flowering, growth, and countless fruits. The fruit continues to turn into seeds. Different plants are intertwined, interdependent and influenced each other. Or it can be likened to an endless net, with various causes and karma criss-crossing. These conditions are a meeting point: karma, countless karma and other karma are constantly converging, and layers are endless. The Buddha said in The Buddha's Sutra of Prince Lifu's Karma: If the karma is undamaged, that is to say, even if it has been in the world for a long time, it will not be damaged, no matter what we do is good or evil. Will become a seed, once the conditions for cooperation with it are met, then there will be results. "Zhancha Good and Evil Cause" says: Now, there are things like happiness, happiness and misfortune. Fate is close, so it is ruined. Industry setting is based on heart. Not bad, not bad, not bad, not bad, not bad, not bad, not bad, not bad. If these margins were gone, there would be no such result. And these karma are all gathered with your heart. There won't be any error. "Hua Yan Jing" cloud: One industry knows all kinds of karma in all walks of life. Like doing business. Everything is the same. In other words, from a single karma, we can know that all our infinite karma and karma are formed by the aggregation of various karma. Like this karma. All our own causes and consequences are like this. Buddhism talks about cause and effect, not as simple as paying off debts and killing people. The cause and effect of Buddhism is to point out how everything we encounter works, all because of the cooperation of karma and various reasons, and finally form a result. Second, the four characteristics of causality
The calculation of cause and effect was mentioned earlier. Then, according to this causal operation mode, we still need to understand several characteristics of causality: 1, causality is self-caused, and the role of causality is always self-caused, and there will never be any causality caused by yourself or others. Or what karma others have created, you also deserve it. < Banny's Fantasy " said:' When the father does evil, the son does not suffer; when the son does evil, the father does not suffer; good will be rewarded, and evil will be rewarded.' Even if the father and son are close relatives, the reasons for their creation will not change at all because of their blood relationship. In life, we often find out what crimes our father committed, and the whole family was hit as a result. So many people mistakenly think that karma can be transmitted. Even developed a secular concept of benefiting future generations. This is a very wrong idea. When one person commits a crime, the whole family is implicated. Or is it because everyone has had such karma, so there will be consequences. It's not because one person does something that others get. We also saw that a good father gave birth to an unfortunate son, a wicked man, and his relatives were actually very good. It is unreasonable to use the theory that karma can be transmitted and accepted by others. Faji: The different lives of all kinds of fools are caused by karma and cycle. In the three realms, all depend on different trades. They didn't do it themselves, and no one else did it. 2. The cause and effect of each industry are different, and different causes have different results. The Grand Solemn Sutra says: I heard about it again. In a country, the king and heir are heartbroken. Sometimes, there are ancestors who go to the mountains to learn the Tao and seek immortality. That is, if you are strong, you are king. Bedding people want clothes and food. As soon as the bedding is applied, people put it bluntly. Each has its own code. Wang Yujin shouldn't ask me everything. I only know bedding. Bath, food and clothes. I know there are more people. This is not my job. This metaphor illustrates all industries. If Wang Fu has bedding, everyone has his own code. The same is true of the industry. People with different skin colors and diseases have lovely attributes. Intelligence is different from other industries. You get sick when you have a job. If you have a career, you can get the right color. If the fairy asks the bedding man for all kinds of things, he will never get them. If you have a family, you don't need wealth. Reports vary from industry to industry. Not in the same industry. Get all kinds of reports. If you do the right thing. You must correct your color intensity. Wealth should be obtained from surplus business. Therefore, smart people should practice more newspapers. It is said here that there was once a king. He had no son, so he went into the mountains to learn Taoism and seek immortality, hoping to have an heir in the future. So he asked the servant in charge of bedding for clothes and food. The servant said that everyone has their own division of labor. Your majesty should not ask me everything. I only know bedding. There are other things in clothing and diet. I'm not in charge. This story is a metaphor for all industries, just as servants have their own division of labor. Each is different. The karma for health, wealth, looks and wisdom is different. Some karma can get disease-free results, while others get good looks. You can't get anything else from the king who is in charge of bedding. If you are born in the royal family, you don't necessarily need wealth, and the rewards of various karma are different. You won't get all kinds of results for one reason. If you do well, you will get this retribution. And wealth should be obtained from other reasons. Therefore, the wise should create all kinds of good causes and get all kinds of good results. This story is very vivid. So you don't have to ask in the future. Why do my husband and wife always quarrel after I am released? Why do I still get sick after giving alms? Why can't I make a fortune after I stop fornicating? This is the same as the king asking the servant in charge of bedding for food and drink. What goes around comes around.
3, one industry has many fruits, and many industries have one fruit. Karma mentioned in Buddhism, a karma will get different karma. But these results are similar in this industry. For example, the karma of not committing adultery, the scripture says: adultery has ten evils. Ten years old. I often catch Chu poison for my husband. The family is unfriendly and the law is exhausted. The poverty relief law has increased. Danger and failure. Didn't check his wife. Failing to keep money and taking bribes. People often suspect. The clan does not believe it. Seed industry is like this. I'll spend my whole life in hell. Set to not be the only woman. A slut set as a man. Lost his wife. It is a heinous crime. So if we plant a cause, we may get all kinds of results, which are the same as the germination, growth, flowering and fruiting of our natural seeds. The fruit is always bigger than the seed, and there is more than one fruit. For example, you get more from killing than just being killed. It is unrealistic to say that one life is worth one life. Don't think that cause and effect is as simple as paying debts and killing people. Actually, there are many problems. There are many examples of what goes around comes around in Ghost Asking Eyes, such as a ghost asking questions. My whole life. Persistent headache. What crime? Make eye contact and answer. When you are a man. So you can hit all beings on the head with a stick. Give me flowers today and go to hell. A ghost asked. My whole life has come. Stubborn and ignorant. What crime? The flower newspaper mentioned here, like a blooming seed, has just revealed its appearance, and the real fruit has not yet arrived. These ghosts asked the venerable Mulian (one of the ten disciples of the Buddha) why he had such pain. Mulian told them what karma he had done before, which was not fully mature, but only showed results. Future karma is in hell. The pain of the ghost here is not that any resentful creditors follow it and frame it. It's already a ghost. This is the result. From here, we know that some things we encounter may not be the real results, and the real problems may not have come to this world yet. So what is a multi-industry fruit? This is easy to understand. That is, the final result is a collection of various causes. For example, the "ghost asking eyes" mentioned above, why does this ghost often have a headache? Because I used to like hitting people on the head with a stick. It must have been played more than once, and these karma together led to the retribution of hell. If you only bump into someone once in a while, what goes around comes around is definitely not that serious. If you create many similar karma, the result must be great. That's the truth. 4. The operation of karma is controlled by the heart. "Zhancha good and evil karma" says: Now it is bitter, good and evil. Fate is close, so it is ruined. Industry setting is based on heart. Not bad, not bad, not bad, not bad, not bad, not bad, not bad, not bad. If these margins were gone, there would be no such result. And these karma are all gathered with your heart. There won't be any error. Attention, this sentence is set at will. What is the accumulation of karma? It is the heart that controls it. I'm talking about delusion, clinging to me and all my thoughts, leading to the accumulation of various causes and the cycle of life and death. The operation of karma is to follow the inner manipulation. As long as we understand this key, we can use it to transform our causal operation. Let it develop in the direction we want. Instead of being driven by karma.
