This school has a long history. 1883, Mateer Robert M, an American Christian pastor, went to Weifang to preach and built a Yuedao Garden with a Mandarin Pavilion. 1895, he also founded a women's college in Mei Wen. Wenhua Pavilion was renamed as Wenhua Academy, Wenhua School and Wenhua Middle School from 1904 and 19 15. On 19 13, Mei Wen College was renamed Mei Wen Girls' High School. 1922, in order to adapt to the practice of hematology in normal schools, it was modeled after Fan Primary School and later renamed Peiji Primary School. 193 1 year, Wenhua, Mei Wen and Peiji were merged and named Wenguang Middle School. 1952165438+1On October 26th, Weixian Private Wenguang Middle School was officially changed to Weifang No.2 Middle School in Shandong Province. 1984 after the land reform, the school was placed under the municipal government. In 2006, the middle school merged with the original Weifang No.1 Middle School, and the school was renamed Wenguang Middle School. Since the establishment of the school, its contents are numerous. History of Weifang No.2 Middle School

Weifang No.2 Middle School in Shandong Province is a municipal key middle school and a provincial standardized school, which was founded in 1883. Mateer Robert M, an American missionary, established the Moon Island Garden, a trinity of church, hospital and school. There is a Mandarin hall in boys' schools and a Mei Wen hall in girls' schools. During the Republic of China, it was named Weixian Private Wenguang Middle School. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, 1952 was changed to a public office and was designated as Weifang No.2 Middle School. In 2006, Weifang No.1 Middle School merged with Weifang No.2 Middle School and was named Weifang Wenguang Middle School, which was located in the former Weifang No.2 Middle School. Weifang No.2 Middle School also merged with Weifang Kuiwen Experimental High School (complete high school) and was renamed Weifang Middle School, which was located in the former Weifang No.1 Middle School. Weifang No.1 Middle School moved to High-tech Zone, and still used the name of Weifang No.1 Middle School.

History of Weifang No.1 Middle School

Founded in 19 13, its predecessor was wei county Middle School, located in Weiyang College. Later, it was changed to Weixian Middle School and Weifang Middle School. 1952 officially changed its name to Weifang No.1 Middle School in Shandong Province, moved to its current address, and was identified as a provincial key middle school. 1978 was identified as the first batch of key middle schools in Shandong province, and 1994 was approved as the first batch of standardized schools and art education demonstration schools in Shandong province. In April 2000, the expert evaluation and acceptance team of Shandong National Model Middle School made a comprehensive and serious evaluation and acceptance of the establishment of our school. The school passed the provincial acceptance with 8 excellent indicators and became the only national demonstration middle school in the province that passed the provincial acceptance. In 200 1 year, Weifang-China-Australia Friendship and Cooperation School was established in cooperation with the Australian Institute of International Applied Education, which achieved a breakthrough in the school-running mode and pushed Weifang education to the world. The school has 56 classes and more than 4,000 students, including 35 classes in senior high schools.

The school site was originally located atNo. 1, Middle School Street, Kuiwen District, with a campus area of 99,600 square meters, a building area of 59,000 square meters and a greening and beautification area of 1.85 million square meters. It has a first-class gymnasium, experimental building, multimedia classroom, voice classroom and computer room, a high-standard plastic stadium and two modern high school teaching buildings, and each classroom is equipped with "four machines and one scene". Over the years, it has trained tens of thousands of outstanding talents for the country, won nearly 100 national, provincial and municipal honorary titles, and established sister schools with Towson Middle School in Maryland, USA and Greenanga International Middle School in Australia.

In 2006, Weifang No.1 Middle School merged with Weifang No.2 Middle School and was named Weifang Wenguang Middle School and moved to the High-tech Zone, still using the name of Weifang No.1 Middle School.
