Our army's new generation field cooking trailer

The research of our military cooking car started late. In the early 1980s, we developed and equipped the Type 83 cooking car from scratch, which was the first generation of mobile field cooking equipment of our army, marking the end of the history of "one pot cooking" of our army and the development of cooking equipment towards vehicle. However, compared with similar equipment in the world, the overall technical performance of the car still has a certain gap. In order to better meet the needs of the army and catch up with the international advanced level, our army's scientific research personnel have successfully developed a new generation in 1997 after years of hard work, and have made great improvements in recent years, and have been shaped into XCT97A cooking trolley, which has brought the technical level to a new level.

Our army's new generation XCT97A cooking trailer is a single-axle two-wheel cooking trailer, which is mainly composed of trailer chassis, tents, cooking equipment, stoves and supporting equipment. The car has a length of 3.4m, a width of 2.2m and a height of 2.4m. There are two types of cars, namely, plain type and plateau type. The total mass of plain type is 1.8t, which can be used in areas below 2500m. The total mass of the plateau cooking vehicle is 1.85t, and it can be used for cooking in areas below 4500m above sea level. Both of these modes are suitable for the company or the team equivalent to the company to process hot food on site. Four chefs can cook 150 standard ration of hot food 1 hour. The car can be towed or loaded by military transport vehicles, and can also be lifted by air or helicopter, with good maneuverability.
