How to control the leakage of landfill leachate

Landfill leachate, a toxic and harmful liquid, will flow into the river through the rainwater pipe network after being discharged, which will cause potential safety hazards to epidemic prevention and control and water environment. If the landfill leachate leaks, it will generally be fined 10 million yuan to10 million yuan; If the circumstances are serious, the people's government with the right of approval shall order it to suspend business or close down.

According to the provisions of China's Law on the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, in violation of the provisions of this law, anyone who commits one of the following acts shall be ordered by the competent department of environmental protection of the people's government at or above the county level to make corrections or suspend production and business for rectification, and be fined not less than 100,000 yuan but not more than 1 million yuan; If the circumstances are serious, it shall be reported to the people's government with the right of approval and ordered to suspend business or close down:

(1) discharging water pollutants without obtaining a sewage discharge permit according to law;

(two) the discharge of water pollutants exceeds the discharge standard of water pollutants or exceeds the total discharge control index of key water pollutants;

(3) Using seepage wells, pits, cracks and caves to discharge water pollutants, setting concealed pipes privately, tampering with or forging monitoring data, or operating water pollution prevention and control facilities abnormally to escape supervision;

(four) failing to carry out pretreatment in accordance with the provisions, and discharging industrial wastewater to centralized sewage treatment facilities that do not meet the requirements of treatment technology.

(four) failing to carry out pretreatment in accordance with the provisions, and discharging industrial wastewater that does not meet the requirements of the treatment process to the centralized sewage treatment facilities.
