Brief introduction of Shanxi sports center

Shanxi Sports Center is located in the south of Changfeng Cultural Business District, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, with Jinyang Lake in the west and Fenhe River in the east. The center started construction in March 2009. It is the largest stadium project in Shanxi Province since the founding of the People's Republic of China, and it is also a landmark project to achieve a new leap in sports in Shanxi Province. Shanxi Sports Center has created conditions for realizing the large-scale, intensive and modern management of professional sports teams in Shanxi Province, and can host large-scale national comprehensive sports games or international individual competitions. The main stadium is "Red Lantern Gymnasium", nicknamed "Phoenix Nest". Shanxi Sports Center covers an area of 1.238 mu, with a total investment of1.600 million yuan, including 60,000 main stadiums, 8,000 main gymnasiums, 3,000 swimming and diving gymnasiums, 0/.500 bicycle gymnasiums and comprehensive training halls. The project is located in the south-central part of Jinyuan District, Taiyuan City. In addition, supporting engineering facilities such as sports training base and international sports exchange center will also start construction as soon as possible. After the completion of the sports training base, the harsh living and training conditions of professional sports teams in Shanxi Province have been greatly improved, and the utilization rate of sports venues has been improved. Supporting projects such as international sports exchange center can be used for news release, event broadcast, reception of sports teams and referees.
