Comprehensively deepening the work of changing customs is an important starting point for strengthening the construction of spiritual civilization. On July 18, team members interviewed the Red and White Council of Shilian Village.

At the beginning of the establishment of the Red and White Council, due to the different living habits of the courtyards and the comparison mentality of some villagers, it was difficult to carry out some work. However, the members of the council have effectively carried out a series of positive measures such as vigorously carrying out ideological work, advocating party members to take the lead in demonstration, and the health contract system. Give full play to the important role of villagers' self-governance, so that the masses can truly become the makers, executors, commentators and beneficiaries of civilized rural customs. Nowadays, the Shilian Village Red and White Council, the Elderly Association and the Village Committee have formed a joint effort to manage and control weddings and funerals while retaining the traditional meaning.
