Ribbon knot weaving

The weaving method of ribbon knots is as follows:

1. Prepare a line 5 and fold it in half. Keep the upper coil, merge the lower two wires, and then turn to the right, with the ends of the wires down on the upper coil.

2. Next, the wire end is upward again, placed under the top coil, and then goes out from under the right coil.

3. Then, the wire end presses the top coil to the left. The end of the wire passes through the lower left coil and is wound once.

4. Then go out from under the coil and press the wire through the lower coil.

5. Tighten the two wires and adjust the size of the three ear wings, and the ribbon knot is completed.

Chinese knot is a hand-woven handicraft, and its emotion and wisdom are only one aspect of the ancient civilization of the Han nationality. It was first knotted by sewing clothes in the Paleolithic Age, and then extended to the ritual records of the Han Dynasty, and then evolved into today's decorative techniques. Zhou people often wear jade articles decorated with Chinese knots.

There were also patterns of Chinese knots on bronzes in the Warring States period, and it was not until the Qing Dynasty that Chinese knots really became a popular art among the people. Nowadays, it is mostly used to decorate gifts and personal ornaments indoors and between relatives and friends. Because of its symmetrical and exquisite appearance, it can represent the long history of the Han nationality and conform to the customs and aesthetic concepts of traditional decoration in China, so it is named Chinese knot.
