The license plate number can be designed by yourself, except for the first two in accordance with national regulations, others can be freely selected. At present, the civil license plate is Type 92, which has been used nationwide since July 1994.

The first place of the license plate is Chinese characters: it represents the provincial administrative region where the vehicle's registered permanent residence is located, and is the abbreviation of each province, municipality directly under the central government and autonomous region.
