What can’t you bring into the China International Import Expo (CIIE)?

The Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau formulated and issued the "Guidelines for the Control of Items During the Import Expo", which clarified the list of prohibited items, as follows:

1. Prohibited Items Prohibited items refer to items that violate China's Legal and regulatory items. If security inspection and inspection personnel discover prohibited items, they shall confiscate them in accordance with the law, or immediately implement emergency treatment, and detain the carrier and relevant personnel for inspection and handling in accordance with the law. Items prohibited from being brought into the National Exhibition Center include:

1. Firearms, ammunition and explosives.

2. Simulated guns, crossbows, bows, arrows, daggers and other controlled equipment.

3. Fireworks, firecrackers, gasoline, alcohol and other flammable and explosive dangerous goods.

4. Toxic, corrosive and other dangerous chemicals and radioactive substances, including but not limited to strong acids, radioactive isotopes and other dangerous substances.

5. Hazardous substances such as harmful biological agents and infectious disease pathogens.

6. Heroin, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine and other drugs.

7. Other items prohibited by Chinese laws and regulations.

Second, restricted items

Restricted items refer to items that, although they do not violate my country’s laws and regulations, may affect the safety and operational order of the National Convention and Exhibition Center and must not be brought into the venue. If security personnel discover prohibited items, the carrier should be required to discard the prohibited items in designated containers, send them to (temporary) storage, or use other methods to dispose of them themselves. Items restricted from being brought into the National Exhibition Center include:

1. Various soft and hard packaged beverages, including but not limited to water, tea, beverages (especially alcoholic beverages), etc.

2. Banners, slogans, billboards and other propaganda items that are political, racial, religious, commercial and violate Chinese laws and regulations.

3. Any means of transportation other than strollers and wheelchairs, including but not limited to mopeds, electric bicycles, motorcycles (including mopeds), scooters, bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, etc.

4. "Low, slow and small" aircraft such as drones.

5. Animals (except service animals such as guide dogs).

6. Bats, long sticks, long-handled umbrellas, sharp objects and other items that can easily cause personal injury.

7. Balls, rackets, flying saucers and similar items.

8. Packages, etc. It is large in size and not suitable for bringing into the National Convention and Exhibition Center and venues.

9. Flags with an expansion area greater than 2m1m and flagpoles greater than 1m in length.

10. Unauthorized items that interfere with the electronic wireless communication signals and trunking signals of the National Convention and Exhibition Center or hinder others from visiting, including but not limited to laser devices, loudspeaker equipment, walkie-talkies and radio equipment, etc.

1. Ignition devices such as lighters and matches.

12. Other items that may affect safety or violate Chinese laws and regulations, such as syringes, medicines, kites, etc.

Three. Special instructions

1. If there are prohibited or restricted items such as knives in the exhibits, the exhibitor should report to the security department in writing (including the number of exhibits, admission time, safety management measures, etc.) before the exhibits Before entering the National Exhibition Center. All exhibitors are responsible for the safety of their exhibits.

2. The media and other specialized staff can bring necessary equipment or supplies into the International Exhibition Center. They are allowed to bring in after undergoing security inspection, but they must be strictly managed by subordinate departments.

3. Maintenance and technical service personnel can bring necessary maintenance tools and essential items into the National Exhibition Center. They are allowed to bring in after undergoing security inspection, but they must accept strict management by the competent authorities.

4. Professional etiquette and performers can bring a small amount of mousse, hair gel and other necessary cosmetics, but their departments must provide a list of personnel and make a liability guarantee commitment, and they can only bring in after checking the certificates.

5. Necessary wheelchairs, crutches, walking frames, etc. are longer

7. Special drinks carried by special groups, such as baby milk, drinks for diabetics, etc. Can be explained to candidates. After on-site trial registration, you are allowed to carry it, and you will be informed that it will be treated as a special case.

8. Solid drugs are allowed to be carried within a reasonable range; in principle, liquid drugs are not allowed to be carried. If necessary, you will be allowed to carry it after on-site trial registration, and you will be informed that it will be handled according to special circumstances.

9. Try using an x-ray machine to examine the laptop individually.

10. If customers bring flowers and other decorative items, they must be inspected by an X-ray machine in principle. Large bouquets will be manually inspected by security personnel.

11. If a customer declares pregnancy or carries a pacemaker, security personnel should inform them that the security equipment has no adverse effects and they can undergo security inspection. If the customer insists not to accept the inspection of safety doors and instruments, he can conduct the inspection with his bare hands.

12. For suspicious closed items or packages discarded by customers, security personnel should quickly pick them up and accept the opening of the package or can for inspection, and put them into an X-ray machine for inspection if necessary. During the inspection, the carrier should be on site and confirm safety before release.
