How to create a Google+ community

Recently, Google+ launched a new function called "Community". If you have a Google+ account, you may receive an invitation to join some communities. Google+ community is similar to Facebook and LinkedIn's "groups", allowing users to filter posts like a waterfall and pay more attention to related topics. Functionally, Google+ Community allows users to use the "+1" button to create and participate in public or private groups, add discussion topics, plan activities, conduct video chats, and post sharing links.

Any user can create his own Google+ community to discuss many topics, including various businesses. At present, many well-known brands have settled in Google+ community, and there are two advantages for merchants to settle in Google+ community:

Introduce your own brand. Users discuss the same hobbies in Google+ community, and businesses can use it as a channel to introduce their brands to new users instead of blindly promoting them.

2. Performance on search engines. Content in the open community can be indexed and searched by users on Google and Google+.

Let's see how to create a Google+ community:

Step 1: Go to your Google+ homepage, find the "Community" icon in the left column, click it and start creating.

Step 2: After entering your community page, you will see the following options:

Browse the communities you have joined.

Discover a new community

View invitations from Google+ friends circle

Create a community

Click "Create Community" in the upper right corner.

Step 3: A pop-up window will appear asking you to choose whether to create an open Google+ community or a private one. (public/private)

If you choose Public, a form box will appear asking you to fill in the community name, and at the same time determine whether the people who join need to pass the verification first.

Select and click the blue "Create Community" button in the lower right corner, and then Google+ will create your community. However, there is one last step.

Step 4: After creating the community, a page will appear asking you to fill in the following contents:

Brand slogan-This is optional.

Pictures-Upload pictures representing your community.

Subject category

About-this is the place to fill in the community description and geographical location.

When you are finished, click the Save button.

You can invite your Google+ friends to join the newly created community and post a notice on the Google+ homepage. When someone joins your community to share and discuss topics, you will be notified.
