In order to ensure the smooth progress of key urban projects and effectively alleviate urban traffic congestion, in accordance with the "Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" and other relevant laws and regulations, and submitted to the Linfen Municipal People's Government for approval, it was decided to implement measures to restrict the use of last-numbered motor vehicles (limited to two numbers per day) in Linfen urban area.

1. Travel restriction time

October 12, 2020 to December 31, 2020 (extension of travel restriction time will be announced separately), working days 07:00--22:00 ( Except for statutory holidays and public holidays).

2. The restricted area is west of National Highway 108 (not included) in the East Ring Road; the overlapping section of National Highway 309 (not included) in the West Ring Road, Provincial Highway 232 (Linxia Line), and Provincial Highway 329 (Linwu Line) (not included) East of the North Ring National Highway 309 (not included); South of the South Ring National Highway 108 and South Outer Ring Road (not included).

3. Traffic Restriction Regulations

(1) For motor vehicles entering restricted areas, traffic restrictions will be imposed based on the last number of the license plate (including temporary license plates). Motor vehicles will be restricted from Monday to Friday. The last numbers of the license plate correspond to: 1 and 6, 2 and 7, 3 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 0. If the last number of the license plate is an English letter, the first digit of the letter shall prevail.

(2) Motor vehicles from other provinces, cities and other counties and cities entering restricted areas shall be subject to the provisions of this notice.

(3) The following motor vehicles are not subject to traffic restrictions:

1. New energy vehicles, including pure electric vehicles (using rechargeable batteries as the only source of power and driven by electric motors ), plug-in (including extended-range) hybrid vehicles and fuel cell vehicles, methanol vehicles;

2. Buses, taxis, long-distance buses (including tourist buses), school buses and Commuting large passenger vehicles;
