How to elect deputies to people's congresses

China has five deputies to the National People's Congress. Among them, deputies to the National People's Congress, provincial people's congresses and municipal people's congresses with districts are indirectly elected by the people's congresses at the next lower level, and deputies to county and township people's congresses are directly elected by voters. The election of deputies to the people's congresses at the urban and township levels belongs to the direct election of deputies to the people's congresses at the county and township levels. The election procedure is divided into several stages: constituency division, voter registration, nomination and recommendation of candidates for deputies, determination of formal candidates for deputies through discussion and consultation, meeting with voters on behalf of formal candidates, voting, and announcement and confirmation of qualifications for deputies.

First of all, there are three basic conditions for enjoying the right to vote in China:

1, who is a citizen of People's Republic of China (PRC) and has China nationality;

2. 18 years old, an adult with full capacity for civil conduct;

3. Enjoy political rights according to law, and citizens' right to vote is not deprived because of race, sex, occupation, family, origin, religious belief, education level and other reasons, except those who are deprived of political rights according to law.

Second, the role of the Constitution is:

1, ensure the effective operation of state power, standardize and restrict state power. By endowing legislative, administrative and judicial organs with public power, the Constitution enables the state power to operate effectively on the track of the Constitution, and avoids the absence, offside and dislocation of the state power.

2, confirm and protect the basic rights of citizens. The constitution is the concentrated expression of the people's will, and it is the most clear confirmation and effective guarantee for the people to obtain basic rights through the constitution.

3, adjust the country's most important social relations, maintain social stability and long-term stability of the country. Among all kinds of social relations in the country, the most important one is stipulated and adjusted by the Constitution.
